【Colin】20110813【新闻】BJ3开工了好久木有来发新闻了= =罪过罪过 Working Title has been mulling a follow-up to the Renee Zellweger-starrers since 2009. A third Bridget Jones's Diary movie is in the works. Title Films, the production company behind the first movies, first confirmed the news to EW.com. Bridget Jones's Diary, based off a novel by Helen Fielding, was released in 2001 and made $281 million worldwide; the sequel, The Edge of Reason, hit theaters in 2004 and raked in $262 million worldwide. Title Films has been considering a follow-up since 2009, EW reports. No other details are yet available, including if star Renee Zellweger and her love interests Colin Firth and Hugh Grant are confirmed. The Playlist is reporting that Colin Firth has dropped out of Stoker, the English language debut of Park Chan-Wook, the brilliant Korean director who has delivered us such masterpieces us Oldboy and I’m a Cyborg, But That’s OK, and Thirst. So who’s replacing Mr. Firth? None other than Matthew Goode himself, a.k.a. Ozymandias from the Zack Snyder slump Watchmen. Stoker is a dark drama film written by Wentworth Miller (Prison Break) about “A teenage girl mourning the death of her father deals with an uncle who mysteriously shows up to meet the family.” It sounds right up Chan-Wook’s alley. Now, to be fair, Goode is by no means a bad actor, he has proven himself in countless roles such as The Lookout, among others, but this seemed so out of the ordinary for Firth, and a particularly awesome and weird way to follow up winning an Oscar for The King’s Speech. And Firth seems in no hurry to get back to serious dramas either-- maybe A Single Man really took it out of him?-- as he's now signed on for another comedy, this one opposite Emily Blunt. According to THR former commercial director Dante Ariola will be making his feature debut with the film, and your guess is as good as mine as to how he'll handle the pressure of directing an Oscar winner for his first go-round. The movie doesn't have a title yet, but will star Blunt and Firth as two people who break into empty houses and steal identities in order to constantly reinvent themselves. It's described as a dark comedy, which means it'll probably not be the kind of confection I'm expecting from the Coen Brothers-scripted Gambit, but maybe all the more interesting for it. Having cruised through Oscar season without ever seeming anything other than humble and ridiculously likable, Firth is still an actor all of us will see in pretty much anything; Blunt, having gotten through her own December release Gulliver's Travels relatively unscathed, is nearly as appealing as he is. Despite the age difference they're a good match, even in a film I can't quite figure out from this distance. While guest-hosting a BBC radio program last December, the Academy Award-winning actor said he would like to have British Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg "scanned" to discover why the two never see eye-to-eye on issues. After a gruelling awards season which has seen him pick up numerous gongs for his portrayal of the stammering King George VI in the hit British film The King's Speech, the 50-year-old said he needed time to recuperate. Britain will go to the polls on May 5 to decide whether or not to introduce the Alternative Vote and stars such as The King's Speech actor have now signed up to the Yes To Fairer Votes campaign. 【NEWS】Colin Firth helps raise money for Oxfam Stars including Colin Firth, Annie Lennox and Rupert Friend helped raise over Â£215,000 at Oxfam's charity auction last night (31.03.11). The celebrities attended the launch of Oxfam's new pop-up Curiosity Shop in London where the star prize of Annie singing hits chosen by members of the audience sold for Â£15,000 per song, helping to raise more than Â£215,000 in two hours. The shop is selling items from stars including Colin and his wife Livia, Kate Moss, Florence Welsh and Laura Bailey along with a selection of sought after samples from designers such as Jimmy Choo and Biba. Oxfam ambassador Scarlett Johansson - who has donated one of her own designer gowns to the cause - said: "The Oxfam Curiosity Shop is a fantastic idea. What a great way to give old clothes a new lease on life. As a global ambassador for Oxfam, I have seen how the charity's work can change people's lives. 【NEWS】叔有自传了！！！ Michael O'Mara has acquired a biography of Oscar-winning actor Colin Firth. Senior editorial director Louise Dixon acquired world rights to the title, commissioning directly from author Alison Maloney. Dixon said: “We were a bit amazed—and pleased!—that there hadn't been any previous books on this iconic actor. He has a great story; people forget the breadth of the roles he has played, so the time is definitely ripe for a biography." The biography will tell the story of Firth's life and career, from his early days in Nigeria through roles in "Pride & Prejudice", "Bridget Jones's Diary", "Love Actually" and "A Single Man". The title will be published on 3rd May as an £18.99 hardback, to coincide with the DVD release of "The King's Speech", for which Firth recently won an Academy Award for his role as George VI.
