Tonto Books has acquired UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada, ANZ and India) to a biography of Oscar and BAFTA award-winning actor Colin Firth.The book, COLIN FIRTH: The Man who would be King by Sandro Monetti, was acquired through agent Lorella Belli of Lorella Belli Literary Agency.
'We'd been discussing this book for a while and then another Firth biography was announced. I still think this is a major coup for a small indie and it's great to get it signed as we head to the London Book Fair. A big selling point is that Sandro has interviewed Colin several times over many years, so they have actually met and shared conversations. He also has access to friends and colleagues of Firth, meaning that it will be original and insightful. I'm really looking forward to working with Sandro on this,' said publisher Stu Wheatman.
