【新闻】Big Boi访谈中提及与法海未能完成的合作 A few weeks ago, you sent out a series of Tweets to sort of explain why your verse didn't end up on Frank Ocean's "Pink Matter" but Dre's did. It was the same issue with your verse for T.I.'s joint, right? What was the situation? Well, what happened was that Frank Ocean called me one day and was like, 'My dream collaboration is to have OutKast on a song. I just want y'all both on one record.' He already had 'Dre's verse, so he's like, 'I'mma send you the song and I want you to get on it.' Me being a gentleman, I call 'Dre like, 'Yo. Frank wants me to get on the jam.' 'Dre was basically like, 'I don't think we should give away an OutKast song on someone else's album' -- which I fully respect. To give away a full OutKast feature on a project that's not mine or his, is not what we wanted to do right now. Can't have an OutKast reunion on someone else's album.
【新闻】Big Boi谈及Andre 3000, Phantogram合作EP和新专 Two weeks ago (August 10), Big Boi hosted a listening session for his solo sophomore studio album, "Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors," in Atlanta. It was one of the most anticipated events during the MixShow Live weekend as Sir Luscious opened OutKast's personal space to every DJ in town. "Welcome to the house OutKast built," he greeted newcomers as they spilled in, "Me and my brother 'Dre [ Andre 3000] built this studio over ten years ago and it's our home. You're welcome to it." Big Boi's warm welcome to OutKast's second home came a month after he took to Twitter to say that he was to appear on two Andre 3000-assisted songs -- Frank Ocean's "Pink Matter" and an upcoming song on T.I.'s "Trouble Man" album -- but ultimately didn't because "Dre didnt want an Outkast Record Coming out on anybody else LP." Fans of the duo worried if the perceived block would end up being the nail in the duo's coffin. "To give away a full OutKast feature on a project that's not mine or his, is not what we wanted to do right now. Can't have an OutKast reunion on someone else's album," Big Boi told The Juice of his brother in rhyme, yesterday (Aug. 23)."There's never been a beef. Never... We good." For now -- while both finish their own solo albums -- Big Boi's mind is on his upcoming album and he sounds refreshingly upbeat as the funky "Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors" release date of Nov. 13 draws near. The Juice: Did you have a plan going into recording "Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors " or did you just dive? Big Boi: You walk into it like a mad scientist. It's almost like you're making a pot of stew, until it tastes right. You add a little pinch of this [and] a little pinch of that [until] everything comes together and the picture starts to develop. That's when you really start carving it out and when you get a certain block of songs that cohesively tie together and sound like a movement, then you know what the album sounds like. I mean, it's been the same way, from "Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik" up until now. The formula has always been [to] just get in, have fun, and make the dopest music you can possibly make. You have your mainstay production team, Organized Noize, alongside you. You've also brought Sleepy Brown back into the studio as well. How important is loyalty to you when collaborating? I was just talking to T.I. about this last night as we were recording this jam. He was talking about working with [DJ] Toomp and me working with Organized Noize. When you have certain roots in the ground already, there's a certain chemistry that you have. There are certain songs that we recorded as OutKast and solo where we always went to Organized Noize first for the kick-off. It's just a certain vibe that they bring that for me, in my comfort zone. It's like in football, you know your for sure players that you want to have out there on the field. I know when we collaborate, like on "Gossip" and they produced the song "Lions" with A$AP Rocky on it, that they're coming with the meat and potatoes on the plate.

【不务正业】André 3000 feat全记录 It’s been six years since OutKast released their last studio album (2006’s Idlewild soundtrack). Big Boi dropped an album in 2010 and has another on deck for later this year, but the other half of the duo—André 3000—is in no rush to make his solo debut (Speakerboxxx/The Love Below was billed as a group project). Just because Three Stacks doesn’t have a full project to his name doesn’t mean he’s been completely quiet. For the past several years, he's been extremely selective about his output, stunting on other people’s songs at random. Most recently, Frank Ocean, who ‘Dré blessed with some colorful bars on “Pink Matter." This week it was also announced that André will be featured on Rick Ross’ forthcoming solo album. So while we wait to hear how he destroys that cut come July 31, let's take a trip down memory lane. Here is The Complete History of André 3000 Guest Verses.
【新闻】法海出柜改变了Hip-Hop界的反同论调 NEW YORK — Snoop Dogg has rapped in songs where gay slurs have been tossed about. He's even said them, part of a long list of rappers who have freely used the f-word – the other f-word – in rhyme. For years, anti-gay epithets and sentiments in rap have largely been accepted, along with its frequent misogyny and violence, as part of the hip-hop culture – a culture that has been slow to change, even as gays enjoy more mainstream acceptance, particularly in entertainment. But while perhaps glacial, a shift appears to be on the horizon. "People are learning how to live and get along more, and accept people for who they are and not bash them or hurt them because they're different," Snoop Dogg said in a recent interview. Frank Ocean may be largely responsible for that. The rising star, who revealed on his blog last month that his first love was a man, is technically an R&B singer. But he has produced and collaborated with some of music's top hip-hop acts, from Jay-Z to Andre 3000 to Kanye West to Nas. He's also co-written songs for Beyonce, Justin Bieber and John Legend, and is a member of the alternative rap group Odd Future. "When I was growing up, you could never do that and announce that," Snoop said of Ocean's revelation. "There would be so much scrutiny and hate and negativity, and no one would step (forward) to support you because that's what we were brainwashed and trained to know." When 24-year-old Ocean made his announcement, he received a ton of support from the music world, mainly through Twitter and blogs, including encouraging words from 50 Cent, Nas, Jamie Foxx, Def Jam Records founder Russell Simmons, Beyonce and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Even Ocean's Odd Future band mate, Tyler, the Creator, showed some love, though he's used homophobic slurs in his songs. "(The support for Frank is) an extension of the overall kind of support we're seeing across the country for LGBT people, and not just in a broad sense, but specifically from iconic members of the black community," said Daryl Hannah, GLAAD's director of media and community partnerships, who namedropped President Barack Obama and Jay-Z as those leading the change. While the support for Ocean is strong, and some rappers – including Nicki Minaj – have said a gay rapper will soon hit the music scene, it's still hard to imagine that the male-dominated, macho rap world could include a gay performer. Anti-gay sentiments have been entrenched in hip-hop for decades. Darryl "D.M.C." McDaniels of the iconic rap group Run D.M.C., says it was the norm for years. "You would have had 50 rappers jump on a song, diss the gay people because it's cool," said D.M.C. That attitude has abated little, even as other parts of the entertainment industry have curtailed what many consider to be anti-gay material. (Last year, Universal Pictures altered a trailer for the movie "Dilemma" because a character called a car "gay.") Eminem was targeted by groups like GLAAD for his incessant slurs against gays, a role that now seems to be embodied by Tyler, the Creator, in his raps. Lil Wayne recently used the f-word on Chris Brown's "Look at Me Now," a Grammy-nominated Top 10 pop hit and No. 1 rap and R&B song. There are also ter***ike "no homo" and "pause" used in the hip-hop community after an utterance to acknowledge that what was said does not have any homosexual intent.
【Pitchfork】费城人民比其他美国人更爱Outkast Last year, Pitchfork asked people to rank their top albums released since Pitchfork began in 1996. The numbers have finally all been crunched (and boy, is there a lot of them) and the image above shows two lists based off of the votes of Philadelphians. The top list is simply the top 20 albums based off of votes coming out of Philly. The top ten stays pretty tight with the national top ten, with onlyModest Mouse‘s The Moon and Antarctica ranking out of the top 11 nationally (#17). From 11-20 however, it’s a total crapshoot. The Magnetic Field‘s 69 Love Songs, Philadelphia’s #20, came in at #52 nationally, while Sufjan Stevens‘ Illinois fell to #19 from it’s national rank of #10. In addition, top 20 albu***ike Bon Iver‘s For Emma, Forever Ago, The xx‘s self-titled debut, and Arcade Fire‘sThe Suburbs did not make the local list. The second list is a bit more complex. The “Distinction Index” percentage shows what percentage of an album’s total votes came from one place. The DI list shows the top 20 albums ranked by what percentage of the national tally came from local votes. Unsurprisingly some local acts get play here, like Man Man, Ween, and The Roots. But who new Philly loved that Wild Flag album so much? And Rage Against The Machine? We should have seen that one coming. Also, three Dr. Dogalbums made the top 20 in percentage of votes coming from the United States, which just shows that people don’t dig ‘em overseas. And finally, on the grand top 200 list, some local love was shown for Clap Your Hands Say Yeah‘s self-titled album (#126), and Kurt Vile‘s Smoke Ring For My Halo (#178).

【图片】André 3000造型进化史 It's pretty clear that André 3000 is a style icon. There are no other rap artists who have made more diverse style choices than 3 Stacks. He's always turned a blind eye and muted ear from the ridicule of others in the game when it came to his style choices, evolving into a full-fledged fashionable fly guy because of those same decisions. From his funkadelic B.O.B outfits and neo-soul patchwork clothing to his argyle and golf club-themed looks, he's come a long way since his couple-coordinated outfits with Erykah Badu. The Atlanta native was named among Esquire's Best Dressed list in 2008. Not to be forgotten is his 1935 college football-themed menswear line, Benjamin Bixby. It's his 36th birthday tomorrow, so we wanted to commemorate it by reflecting on 3000's looks over the years with our Style History of André 3000.
【Big Boi】新专曲目及合作阵容 Big Boi’s got a little more work ahead of him. He’s nearing the creative finish line of his forthcoming sophomore solo album, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors (a title inspired by his now passed grandmother), and though the Outkast MC has yet to close out the project, he’s already feeling good about it. Why? “My momma like it,” he joked in front of a few journalists last night at NYC’s MSR Studios during a brief preview of his rough work. Between sips of his Starbucks frappuccino, Big explained that he’s not scheduled to submit his album to his Def Jam record label until September, but he should be finished with Rumors around August after he pulls around 12 tracks out of the pool of 30 he’s cut so far. The effort finds the Outkast member going in a different, less funk-soaked direction artistically—one that, in part, was inspired by the other half of ‘Kast, Andre 3000. Last summer, when Big played ‘Dre more funk-inspired tracks intended for this album, his response was, “You’re doing more funk?” Big recalled. So after some thought, he started from scratch. The result is a fresh, indie-inspired groove. He’s been performing at festivals not often frequented by rappers, like Camp Bisco, and random run-ins with trendy small-time bands to thank for it. First, he found Indie pop duo Phantogram. Their music was in a pop-up Internet ad he came across. In love, he whipped out his iPhone and Shazamed it, then hollered at lead singer Sarah Barthel on Twitter. Now she’s on several tracks on Rumors. Big went as far as calling her “my new Sleepy Brown.” He was joking again, but similar to the chemistry he’s got with the Organized Noize singer, Barthel sounds delightful with him. There’s also a song featuring boutique pop group Little Dragon, who Big Boi first heard during a visit to Andre 3000’s house. Before ‘Dre could say “Hey Ya,” Big had them on a Rumors track, too. And there are more stellar features on the project as well. Learn more about the eight cuts Big Boi played us in the preview ahead.

【新闻】Brandy热切盼望与法海的合作 Brandy enlisted a few of her favorite producers to work on her upcoming album Two Eleven, including Sean Garrett, Rico Love and Bangladesh, but she also tapped one of the best songwriters in the game: Mr. Frank Ocean. Brandy tells MTV News that although Ocean contributed to this album and 2008's Human, she would've loved to have an actual feature from him on the project, as well. "He's an amazing artist, [with an] amazing tone and amazing voice," she said. "I had the pleasure of meeting him before everybody else met him, so I had a chance to work with him on my last [album], as well as this one. It's always great working with Frank Ocean and he's actually a dear friend of mine." Ocean is credited with penning the new track, "Scared of Beautiful," a smooth ballad that will appear alongside some more upbeat cuts. "I wanted to do an album that's not only rooted in R&B but an album that had edge and grit at the same time and [good] lyrical content," Brandy explained. "An album that really expresses the things I've gone through, as well as what I've seen other people go through." The final product is intended to fully represent Brandy as an evolving artist, and she had some help making sure that goal was achieved. "To me, it's all about the vibe and working with genius[es] like Sean Garrett and Bangladesh. That was such an organic connection for me," she said. "Sean Garrett really got me as an artist, but he also wanted to try different things, and at the same time, stay as melodic as some of my music in the past." And part of Brandy's evolution includes dipping her toes into some hip-hop. "Bangladesh really wanted to bring a hip-hop element to my music, and I actually love hip-hop more than anything," Brandy said. "So to bring what I love into what I do, it was just a great connection that we all had — Jim Jonsin, Ester Dean and Rico Love who took care of most of the ballads on the album." Brandy's sixth album Two Eleven is due on October 16, led by the Chris Brown-featured single "Put It Down." "Everyone's calling this a comeback album for me, so I wanted it to be consistent and represent me in the best way possible," she said.

【新闻】Andre 3000将执导Rick Ross"Sixteen"MV When Rick Ross reached out to Andre 3000 to guest on his newly released God Forgives, I Don't, he figured the ATLien would simply rap, but instead, the Bawse got so much more. Not only did Dre drop a verse on "Sixteen," the OutKast standout also sung, played the banjo and volunteered to direct the song's video. "Sometimes in our life, depending on what day it is, a lot of times 16 bars ain't enough, and he loved the track that much that he went above and beyond," Ross told MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway when he appeared on "RapFix Live" on Wednesday. "Sixteen" is a groovy, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League-produced track where Rozay and Dre break the mold, going way beyond the normal 16-bar verse and dropping a whopping 48 instead. Sonically, the song could have easily been a holdover from OutKast's 1996 masterpiece, ATLiens, or its equally as-great 1998 follow-up, Aquemini. "A lot of times artists be fans of other artists and when they collaborate with 'em, they forget why they were fans," Ross began to explain. "Meaning that when I collaborated with him, I wanted to give him the production that I felt could bring out some of that OutKast energy, and what it actually resulted to was a record that he titled 'Sixteen.'" The record is so fitting that 3 Stacks offered to help Ross construct the visuals. "He's writing the treatment for the video," Rozay confirmed. "It's looking real big." In fact, Ross is so enamored by God Forgives that he has big plans in the works. "I'mma shoot a video to every record on the album," he said. "I don't believe I can really keep up with that pace with my schedule and making sure the quality is there doing it weekly, but at least every two or three weeks in between I'll be giving you virals."

【Review】首专 RC给出A- Big Boi: Sir Lucious Left Foot . . . The Son of Chico Dusty [Def Jam, 2010] Last things first: I wish I could never again hear the jocularly misogynist David Blaine skit at the ass end of "General Patton" in my entire life. But it's not tracked, so insofar as the pervasive albeit incoherent musicality of this overrated good album calls me back, it will always be there to waylay me. Granted, so will a succession of enjoyable songs with plenty to offer. But direct comparison to any post-Aquemini OutKast establishes not Andre's superiority--that's ambition and always has been--but the congruence of two timbres and deliveries that resembled each other far more than did the big boys who put them across. I feel the juice of Big Boi's "dark fudge brownie with the nut of your choice" and cheer when he mocks "coke-ayena." But without OutKast's synergy, few of his many good moves are slam dunks. "Like a crocodile walking round with alligator skin"? Couldn't have said it better myself. A-

【新闻】Big Boi Outside Lands音乐节表演 DJ欠其8W刀 Just in case you haven't been paying attention, the good Big Boi is prepping his sophomore album, Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors. The ATL rap legend's new album isn't in stores until November 13th, but he's been performing in various spots to make sure people know at least one half of OutKast can still be readily found rocking a stage. Recently, the man born Antwan Patton hit the stage of the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival in San Francisco, California. Big Boi was actually supposed to perform at Outside Lands last year, but there were some unforeseen circumstances that left his DJ owing him 80 stacks. "My DJ Cutmaster Swiff, his computer...or whatever his equipment he has to play the music froze up. Mind you I gave this ni--a a budget to get three computers to have a back up and a back up to back up the back up. So he f-cked up about $80,000 cause we couldn't do the show. So, the ni--a paying it back, slowly but surely." It's all love with Swiff (who contends the show could have still gone on) and Daddy Fat Saxx, though. The latter does crack a joke about Swift eventually having to DJ for the "General Patton" rapper's kids, too.

【新闻】Big Boi 与 Kate Bush 合作将成真? She's no longer in the "Loch Ness Monster's forest"Thu, 16/08/2012 - 09:25 by Tim Chipping Let's not jump the gun too much because, in the mysterious world of Kate Bush's creative genius, things move very slowly indeed. So the chances of us every hearing what she and Outkast's Big Boi concoct are still fairly remote. We just might not live that long. But from what we can gather from a couple of tweets, it does at least appear to be happening. Big Boi (real name Antwan André Patton) has been going on and on about wanting to work with Kate Bush for quite a while now. But, you know, who doesn't want to work with Kate Bush? Or for Kate Bush? Or pay their own money just to stand in her shadow? No one, that's who. But Catherine was known to be a fan of his work, so he had a slightly better chance than most. And in a tweet posted this week, Mr Boi wrote: "Just Got off the Phone with Kate Bush !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" That's a lot of exclamation marks. He then added: "Stay Tuned..... ooooowwww !" That's a lot of "o"s and "w"s Back in 2010, the rap singer declared his love for Bush in a typically American and amusing gush on Pitchfork TV, saying: "I've been trying to get with Kate Bush for maybe five years now. She's one of my all time favorite artists. She's number one, Bob Marley's number two to me. [HE'S NOT THAT BAD! OH RIGHT...] I grew up on it, and the complexity of the music itself drew me to her. I was introduced to the music by my uncle Russell [GOOD OLD UNCLE RUSSELL], and I used to ride my bike to middle school and listen to it, so I'm a Kate Bush fan, big time. So I've been reaching out trying to get with her for a minute, man, but she's somewhere out in the Loch Ness Monster's forest in London [IT'S A LOCH. THE LOCH NESS MONSTER LIVES IN A LOCH. IN SCOTLAND], and I'm gonna go on some kind of journey to try and find her. [OR JUST PHONE HER UP]". All good news, we think. Just as long as it doesn't get in the way of preparations for her tour, which we believe is happening as soon as the citizens of Hades are warned of an extreme cold snap and air traffic control expresses concern over the increase of pork on the flight path and... well you get the idea with that.

【新闻】channel ORANGE黑胶盘发行日期未定 The singer-songwriter phenom also canceled a show in Norway after losing his voice Frank Ocean brilliantly excelled at drumming up anticipation for his full-length debut album, theSPIN Essentials-stamped channel ORANGE. Remember the lack of interviews, the vague video pronouncements, or the way that, aside from a song or two, the Louisiana native managed to keep the whole album off the Internet until right when he released it, a week early, to accompany a spellbinding late-night TV performance? That's to say nothing, of course, of Ocean's nuanced and historic Tumblr post about loving a man. The downside of that leak-free, perfectly orchestrated digital release, though, might be a delay of channel ORANGE's arrival in the corporeal world. Sure, Ocean has probably held a CD of the release in his hands by now — recall that, as channel ORANGE was poised to make its debut at No. 2 on the charts, he acknowledged he hadn't actually touched a physical copy yet. But the vinyl edition, which was originally set for a July 31 release according to multiple online retailers, now has no official arrival date. Numb the pain! This morning, Amazon.com sent out an e-mail regarding our order of channel ORANGE on vinyl conceding it no longer knows when the record will be ready. "We do not have an estimated delivery date for the items below," the message reads. Where Amazon.com's product listing for the vinyl edition used to cite a July 31 release date, the text now reads: "A release date has not yet been set for this title." Insound's website agrees: "The release date has not yet been finalized." It's a bad religion, this unrequited love. Of course, Ocean appears to be as eager to throw channel ORANGE on his turntable as we are. Speaking to the BBC's Zane Lowe last month, he said that when he does get his fingers on the record, "It'll be a glorious day for me personally," noting that "I'm actually still designing the packaging for vinyl." If you're going to do something, you might as well do it right, we guess, but once again, the anticipation is murder. Maybe Ocean knows what he's doing with this vinyl delay after all. Spokespeople for Ocean didn't reply to e-mail request for comment prior to deadline. In other Ocean-related setbacks, he reportedly ended his set early at Norways's Øya Festival this week. As a blogger on hand Australia's the Music reports (via FACT), Ocean performed channel ORANGE's "Thinkin Bout You" and nostalgia, ULTRA.'s "Novacane" and then left the stage. A spokesperson reportedly said, in Norwegian, that Ocean had lost his voice, an announcement that led to boos and shouting. "Sad faces all around," blogger Sevana Ohandjanian writes. And, with apologies to Ocean muse Forrest Gump, that's all we have to say about that.
【视频】“Lost” fan-video Aristotle, from By Any Means has quite the eye. Just last week the New York-bred video director visualized Ludacris’ latest clip “Jingalin,” but he is no new jack. Aris and B.A.M. have been padding their filmography lending their lens to artists like Fabolous (“You Be Killin’ ‘Em), Nas (“The Don”) and The-Dream (“Long Gone”) for quite some time now. For his latest video, Aris creates a fan-video for Frank Ocean’s “Lost” from the Odd Future singer/songwriter’s major label debut Channel Orange. The clip sets Ocean’s track to scenes from the 2007 Wes Anderson-directed comedy “The Darjeeling Limited,” which stars Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, Jason Schwartzman and Bill Murray. Check what Aristotle had to say about his “Lost” video below: “I haven’t connected to a track like this in a really long time; What I found most beautiful about this project was the absence of limitation in the creative process. At its foundation, this project is for me an un-tainted form of art – No limitations, no boundaries, simply put it is pure artistic expression. It goes without saying, this is an incredibly fulfilling process for me, and one which helps me grow creatively. As with all film making, this was a collaborative process and I want to express my gratitude to Josh Aronson, our editor who took this project to another place.”
【新闻】MTV夏日投篮游戏法海夺冠 The podium at the 2012 MTV News Summer Jam Games is crowded with some of the biggest stars on the planet, each representing their respective genres with the hottest hits of the season. Nearly 740,000 votes were cast across the five categories (hip-hop, R&B, EDM, rock and pop) resulting in a winners' list led by both fan-favorite veteran acts and relative newcomers. So who took home the gold in our Summer Jam Games? Well fans came out in full force for their acts, but only five acts could go home with gold. Hip-Hop: "Lemme See" Usher, featuring Rick Ross Just as it is in sports, sometimes years of practice and perseverance pay off. Such is the case with MTV Video Music Award nominee (for "Climax") Usher, whose jam "Lemme See," featuring Rick Ross, bested its nearest competition ("Mercy" by G.O.O.D. Music featuring 2 Chainz), to take the hip-hop Summer Jam gold medal. With nearly 20 years of blockbuster hits under his belt, Usher proved to be the Michael Phelps of our Summer Jam Games — a heavily decorated veteran who's still winning top honors when he gets in the game. R&B: "Thinkin Bout You," Frank Ocean With three VMA noms and one of the most acclaimed albums of the year, Ocean is enjoying a very big moment right now. That energy carried him not only to the top of the album charts, but also to victory in our R&B category. Ocean took nearly half of all votes cast in the category and 12,000-plus votes more than his nearest competitor, silver medalist JoJo, whose "Demonstrate" did just that. Combined, Ocean and JoJo accounted for more than 92 percent of all votes in an R&B field that included Leah La Belle, The-Dream and Trey Songz. EDM: "Lights," Ellie Goulding Goulding took her time to break here in the U.S., but once the Brit beauty's ethereal dance jam "Lights" started to catch on, it set the charts on fire. In its 32nd week on the Billboard Hot 100, the song remains at #5, and the continued popularity of "Lights" catapulted the song to the top of the EDM heap, besting some of the genre's biggest stars, including Eric Prydz, Porter Robinson, David Guetta, Avicii and Calvin Harris, to take the Summer Jam gold. Rock: "Settle Down," No Doubt If there was any question that No Doubt is back in the biggest possible way, look no further than the showing of "Settle Down" in the Summer Jam Games rock category. The rock contenders were a "who's who" of titans in the genre, from Jack White to the Killers, but in the end, Gwen, Tony, Adrian and Tom prevailed over their closest competitor, Green Day's "Oh Love," with their infectious return to music; it's also the lead single from Push and Shove, the band's first album since 2001's Rock Steady. Pop: "As Long As You Love Me," Justin Bieber, featuring Big Sean Far and away the most voted-upon category, the competition for top of the pops was fierce. In the end, Justin Bieber and One direction left everyone else in the dust, accounting for nearly 95 percent of the total vote. But in the end, there could only be one, and the Beliebers rallied behind Justin to push "As Long As you Love Me" across the finish line just ahead of One Direction's "One Thing."
【智商堪忧】反法海网站成立,只为攻击性取向 A month after R&B singer Frank Ocean revealed his bisexuality, a new website aimed at lashing out at the Odd Future affiliate has launched. The site, titled Hate Tweets To Frank Ocean, archives negative remarks directed at him.Ever since Frank Ocean announced that he was bisexual on July 4 leading up to the release of his new album Channel Orange, he has gotten a lot of positive support. Still, there are those people out there who can't help but project hate towards him. A new website titled Hate Tweets To Frank Ocean aggregates homophobic tweets that continue to be sent to him. The site archives the tweets, and allows readers to respond directly to those sending awful messages to Frank. (Complex) All posted comments reportedly also expose the users' Twitter names.Well in the wake of Frank Ocean coming out there's been a whole lotta hype about what it means to be gay in hip hop over the past couple of weeks. While a lot of the discourse going around is intelligent, well thought out debate about the state of the industry, unfortunately there's also been the rantings of the homophobic peanut gallery. Hate Tweets to Frank Ocean is a web service that aggregates gems that are aimed at Ocean along the lines of the following; @EpicThoughts "D*mn frank ocean Ah f*g too... THIS Sh*t Gotta STOP" @LomaxKidd "Gotta get this queer a** n*gga Frank Ocean out of my music library" @3Legged_Monsta "F*g f*g f*g lmao JK but frank ocean is a d*ck in the booty a** f*ggot" The site archives all the hate tweets (presumably in case any of these guys try and run for President) and gives visitors a platform to respond to them directly. (Acclaim Mag) Last week, Ocean's former music rival Chris Brown denied making anti-gay remarks toward him."My Opinion on the whole Frank Ocean subject is ......... Love who u wanna love. It's ur decision. People stop searching for BS.," he tweeted Monday (July 30)."Everyone is so quick to point the wrong fingers at each other! Ask urself... Am I Doing everything I can to help the world ????""The world is so bent on social acceptance that we've forgotten what makes us special... Our individuality! #Imdone #readabookb*tch" (Chris Brown's Twitter) In late July, the singer came clean on his motivation behind releasing an open letter on Independence Day.He said that his open letter was written in December 2011 with a view to include it in the albu***eeve notes in order to pre-empt speculation that might arise from some of its songs addressing men. "I knew that I was writing in a way that people would ask questions," he said. "I knew that my star was rising, and I knew that if I waited I would always have somebody that I respected be able to encourage me to wait longer, to not say it till who knows when." The Odd Future member also downplayed the risk in his coming out. "People are just afraid of things too much ... Sure, evil exists, extremism exists. Somebody could commit a hate crime and hurt me. But they could do the same just because I'm black. They could do the same just because I'm American."

【趣味】你认为CB的回应是真心的吗? Things haven't exactly been copacetic between Chris Brown and Frank Ocean. In case you don't remember, these two artists have publicly traded blows via Twitter, making it very clear that there was tension between them. But when Oceancame out as a gay man, Brown remained silent. Until now. But they're not the fighting words that you might be used to hearing (or reading) from the singer. "My Opinion on the whole Frank Ocean subject is ......... Love who u wanna love. It's ur decision. People stop searching for BS," Brown tweeted earlier today. The "BS" Breezy is referring to is apparently a report that he told paparazzi in France, "Man, no homo," when asked about Ocean coming out. While the phrase itself is a debate for another time, it has gained popularity in hip-hop culture as something to say when, after giving props to another man, a guy wants to assure that what he said did not have any homosexual connotation. And though Brown can't say he's never uttered, or at least written, a homophobic slur, he insisted via Twitter that he wasn't trying to offend the Odd Future member. Ocean has not responded to reports of Brown's alleged diss or his explanatory tweet. Do you think Brown's response was genuine?

【新闻】英国新人Conor Maynard 称法海复兴R&B Conor Maynard has many guest stars on his Contrast album, which drops in the States in September. Ne-Yo, Pharrell and Rita Ora all make marquee cameos on the 19-year-old Brit's forthcoming debut album, but buried in the production and songwriting credits is another young star who's bracing himself for superstardom. Odd Future's R&B crooner Frank Ocean gifted Maynard with the track "Pictures" for his album. And it's Ocean's true soulful spirit that really excited the singer. "He's blowing up right now," Maynard told MTV News. "For me, it's crazy to watch that he's a proper, true kind of R&B singer, and he's still kind of out there doing really well. It's sometimes difficult for R&B singers to make people want to listen. It's one of those genres that almost faded to the background a little bit and it's people trying to bring it back, and he's doing an amazing job of that." Ocean managed to resurrect the genre a bit with his Channel Orangealbum, and Maynard is putting his own Justin Timberlake-derived spin on it. And while Maynard and Ocean might be musical kindred spirits, the two newbies didn't even record their track together. "Well, I mean, with Frank Ocean, funny enough, I never got to meet him," Maynard explained. "It was one of those sessions where a song is put out there, where someone writes it, and someone else hears it and I end up with a song on my album," he said. "For me, it's kind of annoying I never got to meet him, but at the same time it's an incredible song." In addition to helping pop some life into the R&B scene, Maynard is also a part of the genre's current Anglophile-influenced fetish, joining the likes of One Direction and the Wanted as one of America's biggest heartthrobs. "It's mad times right now. ... It's an amazing time for British talent to be crossing over to the U.S. It's obvious I've got to try and do that," the "Vegas Girl" singer said. "I don't know what it is. I know you guys have something about the accent. I mean, you've always loved the accent, so I don't know, maybe you're hearing it a little more and it's just like, 'Oh my god!' "

【爆料】法海疯狂热爱面包圈 Frank Ocean once loved a man and Channel Orange is an awesome album. By now these are facts that music fans have come to accept, but hold tight because there may be another controversy brewing. On Wednesday Frank’s Odd Future homeys Tyler, the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt revealed the OFWGKTA singer really, really, really loves… bagels. You didn't really expect Odd Future to address Ocean's revelation that he once carried on a love affair with a man with any seriousness did you? "I don't know what you're talking about," bellowed Tyler. "I think it's crazy that that n---a likes bagels like that; for the longest he was frontin'," said Earl, who had just finished twirling around in the swivel chair he was seated in. "We'd go to the store like, 'N---a do you want some bagels?' and He'll be like, 'I don't f--- with bagels.' " In part, bagels is a euphemism for boys, even if the gag got twisted at times during the conversation. On July 4, a week before he dropped his major-label debut Channel Orange,Ocean published a passage on his Tumblr where he revealed that his first love was a man. "All l of a sudden a week before the album drop this n---a like, 'Pass me the cinnamon raisin with the cream cheese,' " Earl joked nothing the amount of bagels that would be in the Los Angeles studio where OF often records. "It was n---a 'cause for the longest nobody would pass him no type of bagels. You know how many bagels there is at Paramount? In that f---in' kitchen?" Tyler is clearly over the topic and what Ocean's revelation means to the world of music. "It's funny because no one cares," he said. "I actually don't give a f---, do you give a f---?" For Earl, Frank Ocean's sexual or pastry preference doesn't matter, as long as the music is right. "That album was tight whether or not he likes bagels," he said.
【新闻】女粉丝依然爱法海 Ladies love Frank Ocean, and if anyone thought things would change after he revealed that he once carried on a love affair with a man—think again. On Monday night, after a performance at Washington, D.C .'s 9:30 Club, the Odd Future singer/songwriter took to Twitter to expound on life on the road. "this tourlife takes some getting used to. i get to zone out and be someones hero or deviant fantasy or whatever for a hour and some change every night though. that's special," he wrote before sending a small dart to all of his haters. "and the women still scream in the front row, contrary to what a naysayer might think. " Tuesday morning (July 24), D.C.-based blog the Jasmine Brand posted footage from the show, and it definitely backs up Frank's boasts. The opening piano chords from Ocean'sChannel Orange cut "Crack Rock" immediately trigger girly squeals and passionate screams before inciting a full-on sing-a-long. The grainy footage makes one wonder if there were any men in attendance, as women belted out in time with Ocean, "You don't know how little you matter, until you're all alone." It was the same when Frank launched into the Pharrell Williams-produced "Sweet Life" and the acoustic cover of Sade's "By Your Side." After Ocean revealed intimate details of his sexuality, many wondered how he would be received. The answer: with open arms. Channel Orange debuted at the #2 Billboardspot last week, selling more than 131,000 copies digitally (the physical copies of the album arrived at retail during the second week of release) and so far, his current tour has been well-received by both fans and critics. On July 20, The Guardian published an interview with Ocean, where for the first time he spoke about his decision to open up so candidly about his love life. "A lot of people have said [it was 'courageous'] since that news came out. I suppose a percentage of that act was because of altruism; because I was thinking of how I wished at 13 or 14 there was somebody I looked up to who would have said something like that, who would have been transparent in that way," he said. "But there's another side of it that's just about my own sanity and my ability to feel like I'm living a life where I'm not just successful on paper, but sure that I'm happy when I wake up in the morning, and not with this freakin' boulder on my chest."
