MIAMI, FL – The Miami HEAT announced their 2009 preseason schedule today, which will open on Monday, October 5, when they travel to Auburn Hills, MI to face the Detroit Pistons. The preseason will conclude on October 22 when the HEAT host the Atlanta Hawks in Jacksonville, FL.
The seven-game line-up is highlighted by the team’s two contests at AmericanAirlines Arena, which will take place at 6:00 PM on Sunday, October 11 against the San Antonio Spurs and on Wednesday, October 21 against the Memphis Grizzlies at 7:30 PM. The HEAT will also travel to Kansas City, MO to host the New Orleans Hornets on Thursday, October 15 in addition to their home game against the Atlanta Hawks in Jacksonville, FL on Thursday, October 22.
Specific local television and radio broadcast schedules for preseason games have yet to be determined.
Tickets to the preseason contests being played at AmericanAirlines Arena will go on sale at a later date. Tickets to the home game in Jacksonville are available at the Veterans Memorial Arena Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets and online at ticketmaster.com. Tickets to the Kansas City game will go on sale on August 28 and will be available by visiting the Sprint Center Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, online at ticketmaster.com or Charge-by-Phone at 800-745-3000.
