It’s been a long while since I wrote the message in the post bar last December. Time is going fast. I have not forgotten Xiaodong and all the friends in this post bar. Quite an opposite, I miss you all. I feel our connection is always there no matter where I am and what I do. Over last couple of weeks I watched the Xiaodong’s new DVD titled “亲爱的敌人” and was very much impressed by Xiaodong’s incredible performance. Personally, I think this is Xiaodong’s another breakthrough performance for his career. I was completely moved and touched by his character as a single Dad in this family drama. For acting, I always think crying and teary scenes are much harder for man than for woman to handle as it is commonly presumed that crying and tear are not belong to man. However, Xiaodong did an amazingly good job in this drama to present us a dad with such complicated feeling toward his daughter when he learned he got a late stage brain cancer. How can we forget his teary eyes while he is trying to control his emotion? We can feel his pain and sadness because we are all heart ached. I have to admit Xiaodng (his character) stealing lots of my tears as well. His daughter’s character is also very well played by this quite talented high school girl. Because of this great story and actors’ excellent performance, it is one of the few good Chinese TV drama that worth your time to watch and think.
As Xiaodong’s loyal support, I am so proud of his every leaping step in his career. He is truly one of the best Chinese actors. We also adore him dearly because his down to earth and good heart. I learn that some of you will visit Xiaodong in the studio where his shooting a new movie. While you are there, please give the best to Xaidong for those of us who can’t be there. Please also share our thoughts and feeling with Xaidong and let him know that he is the person that we will always cherish and care.
