闲得无聊,弄个这个。英译按照原泥板共分为了16个片段。本人垃圾英语水平,有错轻喷。
讲述了众神之父库玛尔比与海神之女的孩子蛇怪赫达姆木(hedammu),与以神王泰舒卜为首的胡里特诸神争斗的故事。泥板有大幅度残缺,结局也缺失了。不过按照其他类似主题的胡里特神话推论,最终泰舒卜战胜了蛇怪,巩固了王权。

This fragment describes the serpent Hedammu's voracious appetite for a wide variety of creatures.

It is possible, but not certain, that the words "They raise up Hedammu
against [Tessub(?)]" in lines 5-6 indicate that he, like Ullikummi, is
Kumarbi's surrogate. No account of Hedammu's birth is preserved, but it is
likely that he is the offspring of Kumarbi's union with Sertapsuruhi.

所以这很扯。后来一个故事多出一个爸爸,就被西秦拿来鬼扯。

和这个故事同属胡里特神话里的一个主题——库马尔比和泰舒卜的争斗。这个部分的话,北大搞赫梯学的李政先生其实有翻译过。

@酷酷游戏 赫梯帝国时期大规模胡里特化了,就连作为主神的雷雨神的名号也变成了胡里特人的泰舒卜,相应的也吸收了这部分内容。
