X Factor bosses have dismissed the furore over last night's results show 'spat' between Lauren Murray and 4th Impact.
Video from Sunday's episode appeared to show Lauren pushing and insulting 4th Impact, prompting a social media storm.
Both Lauren and 4th Impact were quick to rubbish the hooha, with Lauren hitting back on Twitter: "OMG! Just to clear up I said come on che!! People love abit of drama I adore 4th impact"
4th Impact also responded to the over the top reaction: "She's one of our big sister. We love you."
They added: "She's our friend, we love Lauren, she's our friend, she was saying 'Come on Che'. It's not bad, okay."
Bizarrely, despite the girls themselves saying nothing happened, a lot of people reckon there's been a bit of a cover up and poor Lauren has been the victim of quite a lot of abuse online.
Some 4th Impact fans have gone in for the attack against Lauren, even accusing her of being a RACIST.
"@laurenmurray IS RACIST!! And just APPALING TO KNOW that people like her still live!!! What a shame!!! #XFactorUK," read one comment targeted at Lauren on Twitter.
Another posted: "@laurenmurray whatever racist bitch! We saw what we saw. You pushed her aside. Don't deny! You liar!
A third (very angry) X Factor fan added: "@laurenmurray proving she's more than fat, ugly and loud mouthed, she is racist too. Don't vote for her!"
A representative for The X Factor this evening officially spoke out to echo the comments made by both Lauren and 4th Impact.
“Lauren is one of the most popular and liked contestants in the competition, as you can see from the video which 4th impact tweeted afterwards," they said.
