The two 38 years old buddies started their trek in May 2006 west of Yumenguan in Gansu Province. On Tuesday they reached thefinal beacon tower at Tiger Mountain, near the North Koreanborder. The self-proclaimed "Wallnuts" are, as far as they know, the first people to walk the entire route of the Great Wall, which includes some newly discovered sections. beacon tower = 烽火台self-proclaimed "Wallnuts" = 自称是“长城的崇拜者”-------------------------------------[未完,待续]

Jamie Bradish, a sometimes bartender, occasional freelancewriter and wanderer of the globe, planned the trip and persuadedRob England, an old college friend, to go along. They covered anaverage of 30 kilometers (about 18 miles)a day, some of it on the wall itself and some on roads within sight of the wall. "It really hasn't sunk in," Rob England said in an email. "We just finished today, and you get so used to setting your sightson walking the 30km you plan for the day, down to going 6km toyour break, even splitting that up and just concentrating on doing the next km. Thinking of the trek as a whole is a bitoverwhelming." Between long stretches of putting one foot in front of theother, Jamie Bradish and Rob England experienced China in a wayfew foreigners ever did. One day they wandered into an areamarked as a natural reserve. -------------------------------------[未完,待续]

世界上有三个城镇名字叫 Chelsea 1. a borough in southwest London, England. Many artists and writers live in that borough. 2.a city in Eastern Massachusetts, near Boston. 3. a town in Eastern Michigan. Chelsea 的读音近似“乔司”。 “乔司”位于杭州市东郊。

Another time they stopped for a break and ended up spending the afternoon at a nearby school, playing with the kids atrecess and answering questions. The teachers shared tea, andlater treated them to a home-cooked meal. "This was a common occurrence," Bradish wrote. "People wereconstantly offering us food, water, rides, and inviting us intotheir homes. The kindness of the Chinese people is absolutelyastounding; we came here expecting to fall in love with theGreat Wall, but it's the people we fell for." -----------------------------------------------[End]

关老师,有时候因为百度的系统问题会自动丢失一些帖子。按常理说来,吧主误删帖子的几率很小。
