2019-06-19 Kimi Räikkönen (car number 7): “Recently we struggled with grip and therefore we didn’t have enough speed. Some corners were fine, while in others the car felt very strange. We’re getting some new parts on the car for France so this should help us to get back to the performance we had at the beginning of the season.” kimi:“最近我们挣扎于没有抓地力,也是因此我们没有足够的速度。 Frédéric Vasseur, Team Principal Alfa Romeo Racing and CEO Sauber Motorsport AG: “The last three races didn’t go to plan, but it would be too easy to put it down to bad luck or unfortunate circumstances. As a team we need to do fewer mistakes and we need to work harder, which we have done after coming back from Canada, to get the full potential out of our car. At the same time there is no reason to talk ourselves down, we’re showing fighting spirit and we’ll make the most of the developments we have lined up for the next few races. I am confident we can recover the speed we showed earlier in the season and get back in the fight for points.”
【╋━】2019年F1加拿大站赛后总结 Kimi Räikkönen (car number 7): Alfa Romeo Racing C38 (Chassis 03/Ferrari) Result: 15th Fastest lap: 1:15.442 Tyres: New Medium (6 laps) – New Hard (52 laps) – New Soft (11 laps) “Not an easy weekend, not an easy race, as we didn’t have the speed to fight for position. Some laps it felt better, then there were laps where we struggled to find grip. We have work to do and we also will get new parts and this should help us to get back into the fight for points.” kimi:“不是一个容易的周末,也不是一场容易的比赛,我们没速度去提升位置。 Frédéric Vasseur, Team Principal Alfa Romeo Racing and CEO Sauber Motorsport AG: “After being very close to getting into Q3 yesterday, we were convinced we could have a good race performance. However, an unscheduled stop for Kimi due to a visor strip – not his own, this time – in his brake duct and Antonio suffering contact in lap one prevented us from competing against the rest of the midfield. We are working hard to understand the performance of the tyres and we’ll make the most of the developments we have lined up for the next few races. I am confident we can recover the speed we showed earlier in the season and get back in the fight for points.”
From crash.net – Kimi: “Obviously, we try to do our best and see what happens but it’s too early to start [talking about a victory]. Friday is Friday and the race is the race so, while it was a bit better in qualifying, we’re still only third. We’re usually a bit better off in the race, so at least we should be in a better position to go for it, but let’s see what happens. Overall, the weekend has been very good – as smooth as it can be with the conditions we’ve had here. It was a bit disappointing for the team that one car had some issue, but tomorrow is the race and usually we are a bit stronger there. We have to make a good start and go from there and see what comes out, but so far it has been pretty okay. Obviously, it’s not ideal as we want to be in front, but at least it’s better.” From ferrari.com – Kimi: “The car has been feeling good all weekend. We had no problems, apart from the one Sebastian had in qualifying, and everything ran smoothly. We have been making sure that all the small details were correct, we have learned from the past difficult races how small things can make a big change and enable you to get the result you want .We still have some work ahead, obviously we are not happy to finish third in the grid but in the race we’lll try to do better. It’s hard to say what will happen tomorrow but at least we did a better qualifying than normal and we’ll be in a better position for the race. So far it has been ok but tomorrow is the big day. I expect that we can be stronger and challenge for a competitive race . The weather has been tricky these days, so it will be a bit of uncertain tomorrow. Tonight we are going to analyse a lot of data and will try to make the right decisions”.

【赛事资料】2015加拿大站周五练习赛总结:kimi From espn.co.uk – Kimi: “It was all like we expected, absolutely fine. Today was a bit disturbed by weather but it was the same for everybody. I don’t think we got enough running done but I think we are more or less there. There’s still work to be done but it’s Friday so we have to wait and see. The weather is what it is and we expected rain. It meant we had to get certain things done this morning differently because of the rain in the afternoon. We had to shuffle the programme up a little bit.” Ferrari’s lap times were much more favourable in FP2, especially when compared to Mercedes, but when asked whether a genuine challenge is possible on Sunday the Finn replied: “It’s hard to say, we lost a lot of running today because of the weather issues. We try to improve things and see where we are tomorrow and do the best we can.” From ferrari.com – Kimi: “Today everything worked as we expected, we went on with our program trying as always to improve and we are quite happy with the way things worked. The weather was a bit tricky: the rain was expected in the afternoon, then we had to change a bit our program and decided certain things to be done in the morning. It’s hard to say where we are, because we did not get enough running, but it was all fine. It’s only Friday and we have to wait and see. There’s still a lot of work to be done to do well in qualifying, for sure here is easier compared to Monaco, but it will depend on many things, the weather conditions first of all. Tomorrow we’ll see where we are and then we’ll do the best over the weekend.”

MCLARENFAN1968 Package maybe better by the numbers in a controlled test environment but on a real track the uncontrollable elements kick in. Their biggest issue is traction. You can have all the power in the world possible but if you cant control the delivery then that power is wasted and the tyres wear out faster. Ferrari are able to close up quickly no doubts about that but after they close up they are unable to punch past the slower car just that easily. Definite lack of traction. The same is true of when Ferrari try to defend the mercs seem to find it easy to follow the dirty air off of the Ferraris, fanboys will say the mercs are so good now at following cars but just ask Hamilton and Nico who always complain of tyres going bunk following the other merc up front and even while following Seb's Ferrari in Spain so the problem is pretty clear, it's poor traction. Ferrari needs to find out what it takes takes to fix it like fast be it suspension, more changes to aero or the setup of their blown wheels itself. They are squandering that title chance due to traction issues, they are not that far off when we weigh things out overall.
