The elephant was killed by another aggressive elephant (surprisingly of smaller size) on the night before we arrived. Three brothers of the same pride soon found the corpse and patiently waited for the rangers to remove the head of elephant (to prevent poaching). After that, they claimed the ownership of meat, together with 3 females of the pride. An outlander as pictured (P1), somehow infiltrated their territory and waited patiently for the free BUFFET. The three brothers had no problem when he was just laying down there but after it had enjoyed its meal (P2). The whole pride attacked on him (P3). While not (badly) injured, it then laid down in the near woods to show submissiveness to the pride. P5-7: the lion brothers were not the only species that eyed on the meat. A few dozens of vultures were patiently waiting on the nearby branches.
