I knew many singers would like this idea, but all belong to different record companies, and to persuade the record company was a difficult task. For instance, I know Jacky Cheung very well, but we never had a chance to have a duet. We did have a duet long time ago, don't know if you all still remember that song, it is called "Magic Crane", a theme song for the movie. Due to commercial reason, that song could not be released. I feel it is a pity. To me, that song has power, I feel regret for a long time. Now about this album, I feel very happy we have the chance to cooperate, because I never thought the project could be carried out so smoothly. Firstly I have to thank my present record company, because it had made a great effort; secondly I have to thank all those singer friends. they never hesitated, that made the whole thing so smooth; and thirdly all the record companies (背景歌曲: Anita) (background music: Anita) 颜: 为什麼叫作 Anita?Ngan: Why chose the name Anita? 梅: 自己为自己改的 MuiL I chose this name myself. 颜: 那时改的? Ngan: When? 梅: 很小的时候, 十多岁, 当时很流行英文名, 如Mary, Ruth, Cissy那些, 我当年返学很怕别人叫我的中文名, 我自己很害怕 ‘梅艳芳’ 三字, 老师叫‘梅艳芳’ 一定没有好事情发生, 我很想有一个英文名来代替我认为很刺耳的三个字: ‘梅艳芳’ (快速地念梅艳芳). 我是翻查书本找来Anita的, 有英文名又附有解释那些书, 我选Anita, 第一, 容易写, 第二, Anita 的解释是什麼angel , 现在忘了是什麼女神, Anita 的解说是很好的, 意境很美, 很适合自己, 所以就为自己改作Anita Mui: when I was very young, over 10. at time it was trendy to have English name, such as Mary, Ruth, Cissy and etc. When I was in school, I was afraid to hear others calling my Chinese name, I was so scared, Mui Yim Fong, those 3 words. When the teacher called "Mui Yim Fong", some bad things must have happened. I really wanted to have an English name in place of these 3 words which were so piercing to the ears: Mui Yim Fong (She said it very quickly). I searched for my name in a book that contained many English names with explanation. I chose Anita, firstly because it can be written easily; secondly, the explanation for it is some kind of angel, I forget now , it stands for some kind of goddess, the meaning of Anita is very good, and a beautiful name, it suits me, so I chose that name for myself. 颜: 你有没有动摇过? 有时名字也会讲及是否流行. Ngan: Have you any doubts about it? Sometimes names have to be popular. 梅: 没有, 因我觉得自己改得不错, 因Anita 不难发音, 很简单, 我自己念起上来也不会 ‘骨痹’ (意指起 ‘鸡皮疙瘩’), 我觉得很好 Mui:, No, because I felt I had chosen a good name for myself, because it is not difficult to pronounce Anita, I would not feel awkward in pronouncing it.
