well isley was fighting an unwinable battle and he couldnt escape due to them kept coming and gnawing his parts. It is a sad and anticlimatic way for him to fall. Even severed heads can regenerate so short of disintegrating them is there anyway to kill them? It would have been interesting to see whatever plan he had to come out. Now only 1 "Awaken" remains and she might be killed by the "experiment". Maybe this is a closure to a story arc with the Awakened being's rise and fall. It is also interesting that if the organization wanted couldn't they program the Akumas into targeting claire and company?
It also must suck and hurt(?) A LOT to be eaten alive.... The way he died is also reminiscent of Eva when asuka fought those white things - she "killed" them all and then they ended up tearing her eva apart...
Also Isley died with class - he didn't scream but died "peacefully" and that is pretty cool.
Another interesting thought - is Isley/awaken hollow? From the picture it seems they are eating the shell and there's no internal organs/blood etc...

It is sad he died in this way but I also look forward how the story will go on now. Of the original villians we have one abyssal one left plus Precilla. I look forward what the Claymore Headquarters will do.

5L：wow. after reading the translation it seems Isley is actually content in being with raki and priscilla as a family than attaining his own goals. Wonder who he is referring to when he said "drove them out" - raki and priscilla or the akuma? Well since Riful is weaker than Isley and her abyssal form is much bigger she will be gone next especially this time is 1 and 2 and akuma as backups....

6L:Really it's disappointing... This death was too good for him. I was hoping to see him being torn to pieces by the G7...

I'm still really pissed that Isley's strategy for conquering the south backfired on him to this extent. All of a sudden, the incompetent organization gets its act together and my favorite strategist in Claymore is treated as a fool.
8L:Goddamn the demons, they kill Isley and now they wanna do Riful in....
If she dies, the story won't suck but will lose a whole lot of flavor.....

The Manga loses one of the best character it had, but there is still hope of Riful and her secret weapon.......Hopefully.

i really hope that they don't kill riful. i'm thinking that the ghost seven will probably fight with riful against alicia and beth. the only hope we might have that isley survives is his last speech about priscilla and raki. to be honest, that speech kind of ruined it for me.
i can't wait to see alicia and beth fight!
12L:i think isley got complacent because he kinda liked living with raki and priscilla as is so he probably put his plan on hold. From the translation is it clear that he left raki and priscilla to take care of the akumas or he drove them away and then faced the akumas? I guess the organization is using alice and bess to kill riful to show off(us) how powerful they are but i think the other abyssal being will awaken and kill alice/bess in the process though...


13L:Possible but if anything Riful should be done for. Whether her plan works or not even she still might not be powerful enough. The weird thing is that they made these abyss feeders as guides? Why just guides? I mean if you spring the abyss feeders on riful like they did Isley then add the controlled awakened then it's automatic victory. Not even the ghost seven would fare well against the abyss feeders because they wouldn't know how to beat them and then they would get caught up. Anyways I think that an event like Isely being defeated and Raki/Priscilla wandering off (with Priscilla not feeding at all=making her weaker) would be found out by Riful as well as the capabilities of the abyss feeders. Without that info it looks grim for Riful and her project.
Sucks that Isley went out like that. He was the best abysmal one IMO. I would have rather had the ghost 7 or 
#1 and #
2 beat him than these crappy enemies. This sucks but still great and suspenseful in a way i guess. Maybe the hand recovers and isley comes back for more??!! lol.
I also wonder how much Raki knows about all of this?
14L:They fight anything that moves. If you team up your most prized fighter and an abyss feeder, the results won't be good. Hell, they'd probably screw up the soul link.
Heh, am I the only one reading negatively into that hand? If the organization takes it, they can make a new round of abyss feeders that would probably be able to contend with Priscilla.
