- We confirm that our team of Mandarin linguists worked on the localization of the character names with a Mandarin audience in mind.
- We chose to adapt the character name to 歌露儿 to keep the spirit of the character herself: tough as a rock song on the outside but delicate, kind and beautiful on the inside.
- The name 歌露儿 has two meaningful characters in it - 歌 for "Song" and 露 for "dew". It embodies the spirit of the character and provides a somewhat similar pronunciation for the Chinese audience to let them immerse themselves in the Life is Strange universe.
- Our Localisation QA testers also approved of the name.
Is it possible that you are referring to the unofficial translations that were used for Life is Strange 1? Those fan made translations may have used a different translation for "Chloe" which may be different to our version.
