简介 ······Augustana是一支风格上与Coldplay以及Keane相近的乐队。他们的音乐有点回归九十年代中期的成人另类风格同时还加入了他们轻柔的钢琴伴奏的音乐。成员包括：

最初的团员是Dan Layus，Josiah Rosen，Kyle Baker ，Simeon Lorhman 。他们在家庭录音工作室"Jon King"(乔恩王国）自制了首张专辑"Midwest Skies and Sleepless Mondays "。首张专辑于2003年春发行，只生产1000份。那年晚些时候，乐队录制了"Mayfield”EP 25份。
同年，贝司手Simeon Lorhmann选择继续完成学业而退出乐团。004年，主唱Dan Layus和Justin South、Josiah Rosen、Jared Palomar重新拾起"Augustana"团名，并在数场公开演出中脱颖而出，获得主流大厂 Epic Records一纸合约。2004年冬天，"Augustana‘于乔治亚州的亚特兰大录制首张专辑，并邀请名制作人Brendan O'Brien操刀，完成十一首优质作品。
2005年9月6日，"Augustana“推出主流旗下的首张专辑"All The Stars And Boulevards"，有别于一般摇滚乐团，你不会在他们的音乐中听见劲力嘶吼的猛烈，取而代之的是轻柔的抒情曲调，单曲"Boston" (Billboard流行热门单曲榜Top34、热门单曲榜Top31、热门成人榜Top10)就是一首十分贴近内心的动人作品，结合钢琴与Dan Layus的真诚嗓音，宛如Coldplay(酷玩乐团)的温暖摇滚基调搭配Keane(基因乐团)主唱Tom Chaplin的抒情声线。在单曲“Boston”的带动下，这张慢热的专辑渐渐受到了全国的关注。“Boston”是一首真诚的情歌，出现在电视剧《Scrubs》2006年初播出的某一集中。为了增进随之而来的乐队人气，2006年9月唱片公司还发行了专辑的一个限量版本（包含了附加歌曲以及影像资料）。后一年，专辑《All the Stars and Boulevards》总算登上了Billboard Top 40排行榜，距专辑最初的发行日期已经过了19个月时间。
2006年4月，Josiah Rosen离团发行个人专辑『A Memoir』后，乐团加入David Lamoureux(合声、键盘手)及Chris Sachtleben(吉他、曼陀铃)两名成员，五人的"Augustana"正式成型。9月12日，"All The Stars And Boulevards"重新发行。
2007年 ，"All The Stars And Boulevards"专辑获得Billboard专辑榜Top96及新进艺人榜(Top Heatseekers)冠军。
2008年4月29日，乐队发行第三张专辑"Can't Love,Can't Hurt"。许多电视连续剧都插播了几首"Can't Love,Can't Hurt"专辑了的歌。"Twenty Years“出现在"One Tree Hill"，"Hey Now"出现在"General Hospital"以及"Fire"出现在"Friday Night Light"
现在乐队成员只剩dan 叔一个人还有两个小伙伴在帮忙做些演出.
