Rafa At The Miami Heat During his time at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami, Rafa went twice to watch the Miami Heat. The first match he saw was against the Philadelphia 76ers and it was the first time that Rafa had ever been to an NBA match.He had been specially invited by the NBA who contacted the Miami Heat to score him some tickets for a match which was initially sold out. Although the Heat were the favourites, they ended up losing to the 76ers 93-85.Going to the match with Francisco Roig, Rafael Maymo, and Benito Perez Barbadillo, Rafa decided to drive to the stadium even though it was only a 500 metre stretch from his hotel. No, they weren't really that lazy, it was raining and Rafa wanted to get away from the game quickly to go for dinner. However the 500 metre jaunt managed to take over an hour and consequently they only got there in time for the second half!Rafa went to see a second match on the Sunday, and this time his Dad and his Uncle Miguel Angel went along as well. Again though they were only able to get there for the second half as Rafa had been practising on site.Maybe if Rafa goes next year he'll be able to see a match right the way through!
