Michael Buble scores the fastest selling album of 2013 so far, and the fastest selling album of his career to date with To Be Loved.
Michael Buble has bagged the fastest selling album of the year and his own career after To Be Loved notches up 121,000 sales in its opening week, outselling the rest of the Top 5 combined.
The Canadian crooner’s claims his third UK Number 1 album in a row with latest full-length, To Be Loved. With the sales tally he’s amassed this week, Buble overtakes 2007’s Crazy Love as the best-selling opening week of all of his albums to date, and also leapfrogs 2012’s previous fastest seller – Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience (JT managed a cool 106,000 copies in his first week last month).
To Be Loved is the follow-up to Buble’s mega-selling festive album, Christmas, which has sold a staggering 1.8 million copies in the UK since its release in October 2011.
