Dear ***, Hello! My name is ***. and I am a senior at Drexel University's LeBow College of Business. I am writing to encourage you to consider applying to become a member of one of two learning communities offered by LeBow: the Business Learning Community (BLC) or the LeBow Global Classroom. The BLC is a community of business students who live and take most of their classes together during their freshman year. Being a member of the BLC has many advantages including access to a peer-to-peer network that will support you academically and socially during your transition to university life. In fact, I was a member of the BLC in my freshman year and I don't know where I would have been without my BLC family! **For more information and to apply to the BLC, you may visit lebow.drexel.edu/BLC. In addition, the LeBow Global Classroom is an exciting new initiative which will select its inaugural class from the highly talented 2013 incoming freshmen. This program will embrace the strong value of a globalized education by bringing together a cohort of 20 students from around the world. This two-year program will provide students with ample opportunities to broaden their horizons, preparing them to become future leaders in multinational organizations. **For more information and to apply to the LeBow Global Classroom, you may visit lebow.drexel.edu/LGC. I strongly endorse the opportunities provided by the LeBow learning community opportunities. In my junior year of college I studied abroad in Istanbul, Turkey for a term and worked part time for an American company. I fulfilled my dream of working internationally, and experienced the challenges of working in an emerging market. While pursuing these opportunities, I always knew that I had the support of the dedicated learning community staff and faculty, from writing recommendations for me to helping me find networking opportunities. If you have not done so already, I sincerely hope that you will consider applying for either the BLC or LeBow Global Classroom. I can honestly say that these opportunities shaped my freshman year, and the relationships I built have continued to play a significant role in my life as I embark on my next adventure.
