没有听过靓颖唱过民谣，但是在和顺子对唱的过程中发现其实靓颖的声音很适合去唱民谣，很醇，不是那种清澈的溪水，而是醇厚的酒。sarah本身是个很有人文味道的歌手，宗教的影响对于她的歌曲的影响也依稀可寻，这首歌是sarah在母亲逝去时写的，就歌词而言延续了其一贯的诗话风格，编曲也相当华丽，不失大气，很适合现场演唱。sarah的表现相当感人，忽略掉很多变嗓的技巧（相对于其他她的歌曲），以情感取胜的一首歌。
