The power of language
Speaking English means I can talk with almost everyone in the world now because the whole world speaks English. I went to America to play for Brazil against Colombia and I could speak with everyone there and that is a wonderful thing for me because all over the world there are Chelsea supporters and people who love Brazil.
I see it when I travel with Brazil – people shout out at the players, “Hey, come here, I want to ask you something!” But the players don’t understand them and I have to explain. I used to have this feeling, but learning English has made me open my mind to everyone and that makes me happy. I can speak English, Spanish and Portuguese, so I can speak to a lot of people around the world.
One of the best ways to learn a language is to watch TV with the subtitles on. I watch English TV so I can hear the people speaking English, but I also have the subtitles on, so I can see the words and how they are written. Doing this has helped me a lot and I would recommend it to anyone trying to learn a new language.

说英语意味着我可以几乎和世界上的所有人交流因为现在全世界都在说英语，我曾经去美国代表巴西队跟哥伦比亚比赛 而且我可以跟那里的每一个人交流，这对我来说很美好 因为全世界都有切尔西的支持者并且也喜欢巴西的人
在我跟巴西队在一起的时候我发现 有人对球员大喊：hey 过来 我有话跟你说。但是那些球员不理解他们在说什么所以我不得不解释给他们， 我曾经也有过这种感觉， 但是学了英语使我开阔了眼界并且让我觉得很开心， 我可以说英语 西班牙语和葡萄牙语 所以我可以和世界上的很多人交流，
最有效的学习英语的方法是看有字幕的电视， 我看英文的节目所以我可以听着他们讲英语， 而且我也可以看到字幕 并且知道他们说的是什么， 这个帮了我很多 而且我很推荐这个方法给所有想要学习一门新的语言的人。
