Phillip Phillips Says He “Loves His Girlfriend to Death,” Wants Her to Come on Tour With Him
In a conference call with reporters, Phillip talked about his huge female fan base — and how his girlfriend feels about them. “If a girl just voted for me because I’m cute and then gets mad that I have a girlfriend, then she didn’t like the music,” says Phillip. “I’m all about the music, man. I’m not trying to be some cute [guy] who’s trying to be successful off that now. I really want the music to come first.”
If you’re musical taste leans more toward Dave Navarro than Dave Matthews, then maybe you and Phillip aren’t meant to be. Plus, he seems quite smitten with his GF. “She’s really excited for me. She’s helped me out a lot through this. I’m hoping she’ll be able to come on tour with me. I love her to death,” Phillip said during the call. Ah, young love. Hypothetically speaking, though, if Phillip were single, he’d be looking for a funny girl. “Definitely have to have a sense of humor. I have a strange sense of humor!” said Phillip.
