第 1 章1:1 以色列王大卫儿子所罗门的箴言。 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; 1:2 要使人晓得智慧和训诲。分辨通达的言语。 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; 1:3 使人处世，领受智慧，仁义，公平，正直的训诲。 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; 1:4 使愚人灵明，使少年人有知识和谋略。 To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. 1:5 使智慧人听见，增长学问。使聪明人得着智谋。 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: 1:6 使人明白箴言和譬喻，懂得智慧人的言词和谜语。 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. 1:7 敬畏耶和华是知识的开端。愚妄人藐视智慧和训诲。 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. 1:8 我儿，要听你父亲的训诲，不可离弃你母亲的法则。（或作指教） My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: 1:9 因为这要作为你头上的华冠，项上的金链。 For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck. 1:10 我儿，恶人若引诱你，你不可随从。 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. 1:11 他们若说，你与我们同去，我们要埋伏流人之血，要蹲伏害无罪之人。 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: 1:12 我们好像阴间，把他们活活吞下。他们如同下坑的人，被我们囫囵吞了。 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit: 1:13 我们必得各样宝物，将所掳来的装满房屋。 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil: 1:14 你与我们大家同分。我们共用一各囊袋。 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse: 1:15 我儿，不要与他们同行一道。禁止你脚走他们的路。 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path: 1:16 因为他们的脚奔跑行恶，他们急速流人的血。 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood. 1:17 好像飞鸟，网罗设在眼前仍不躲避。 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird. 1:18 这些人埋伏，是为自流己血。蹲伏是为自害己命。 And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives. 1:19 凡贪恋财利的，所行之路，都是如此。这贪恋之心，乃夺去得财者之命。 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof. 1:20 智慧在街市上呼喊，在宽阔处发声。 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: 1:21 在热闹街头喊叫，在城门口，在城中发出言语。 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, 1:22 说你们愚昧人喜爱愚昧，亵慢人喜欢亵慢，愚顽人恨恶知识，要到几时呢。 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? 1:23 你们当因我的责备回转。我要将我的灵浇灌你们，将我的话指示你们。 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. 1:24 我呼唤你们不肯听从。我伸手，无人理会。 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; 1:25 反轻弃我一切的劝戒，不肯受我的责备。 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: 1:26 你们遭灾难，我就发笑惊恐临到你们，我必嗤笑。 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; 1:27 惊恐临到你们，好像狂风，灾难来到，如同暴风。急难痛苦临到你们身上。 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. 1:28 那时，你们必呼求我，我却不答应，恳切的寻梢我，却寻不见。 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: 1:29 因为你们恨恶知识，不喜爱敬畏耶和华， For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: 1:30 不听我的劝戒，藐视我一切的责备， They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. 1:31 所以必吃自结的果子，充满自设的计谋。 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. 1:32 愚昧人背道，必杀己身，愚顽人安逸，必害己命。 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. 1:33 惟有听从我的，必安然居住，得享安静，不怕灾祸。 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil. 

第二章 Chapter2:2:1 我儿，你若领受我的言语，存记我得命令， My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; 2:2 侧耳听智慧，专心求聪明。 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; 2:3 呼求明哲，扬声求聪明， Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; 2:4 寻梢他如寻梢银子，搜求他如搜求隐藏的珍宝， If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; 2:5 你就明白敬畏耶和华，得以认识神。 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. 2:6 因为耶和华赐人智慧。知识和聪明，都由他口而出。 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. 2:7 他给正直人存留真智慧，给行为纯正的人作盾牌。 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. 2:8 为要保守公平人的路，护庇虔敬人的道。 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. 2:9 你也必明白仁义，公平，正直，一切的善道。 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. 2:10 智慧必入你心。你的灵要以知识为美。 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; 2:11 谋略必护卫你。聪明必保守你。 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: 2:12 要救你脱离恶道，（恶道或作恶人的道）脱离说乖谬话的人。 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things; 2:13 那等人舍弃正直的路，行走黑暗的道， Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; 2:14 喜欢作恶，喜爱恶人的乖僻。 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked; 2:15 在他们的道中弯曲，在他们的路上偏僻。 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths: 2:16 智慧要救你拖离淫妇，就是那油嘴滑舌的外女。 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words; 2:17 他离弃幼年的配偶，忘了神的盟约。 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God. 2:18 他的家陷入死地，他的路偏向阴间。 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead. 2:19 凡到他那里去的不得转回，也得不着生命的路。 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life. 2:20 智慧必使你行善人的道，守义人的路。 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous. 2:21 正直人必在世上居住。完全人必在地上存留。 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it. 2:22 惟有恶人必然剪除。奸诈的必然拔出。 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.

第三章 Chapter33:1 我儿，不要忘记我的法则。（或作指教）你心要谨守我的诫命。 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: 3:2 因为他必将长久的日子，生命的年数，与平安，加给你。 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. 3:3 不可使慈爱诚实离开你。要系在你颈项上，刻在你心版上。 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: 3:4 这样，你必在神和世人眼前蒙恩宠，有聪明。 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. 3:5 你要专心仰赖耶和华，不可倚靠自己的聪明。 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 3:6 在你一切所行的事上，都要认定他，他必指引你的路。 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 3:7 不要自以为有智慧。要敬畏耶和华，远离恶事。 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. 3:8 这便医治你的肚脐，滋润你的百骨。 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. 3:9 你要以财物，和一切初熟的土产，尊荣耶和华。 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 3:10 这样，你的仓房，必充满有馀，你的酒榨，有新酒盈溢。 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. 3:11 我儿，你不可轻看耶和华的管教，（或作惩治）也不可厌烦他的责备。 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: 3:12 因为耶和华所爱的，他必责备。正如父亲责备所喜爱的儿子。 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. 3:13 得智慧，得聪明的，这人便为有福。 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. 3:14 因为得智慧胜过得银子，其利益强如精金。 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. 3:15 比珍珠（或作红宝石）宝贵。你一切所喜爱的，都不足比较。 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. 3:16 他右手有长寿。左手有富贵。 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. 3:17 他的道是安乐，他的路全是平安。 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. 3:18 他与持守他的作生命树。持定他的俱各有福。 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. 3:19 耶和华以智慧立地。以聪明定天。 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. 3:20 以知识使深渊裂开，使天空滴下甘露。 By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew. 3:21 我儿，要谨守真智慧和谋略。不可使他离开你的眼目。 My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: 3:22 这样，他必作你的生命，颈项的美饰。 So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. 3:23 你就坦然行路，不至碰脚。 Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. 3:24 你躺下，必不惧怕。你躺卧，睡得香甜。 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. 3:25 忽然来的惊恐，不要害怕。恶人遭毁灭，也不要恐惧。 Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. 3:26 因为耶和华是你所倚靠的。他必保守你的脚不陷入网罗。 For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. 3:27 你手若有行善的力量，不可推辞，就当向那应得的人施行。 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. 3:28 你那里若有现成的，不可对邻舍说，去吧，明天再来，我必给你。 Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee. 3:29 你的邻舍，既在你附近安居，你不可设计害他。 Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee. 3:30 人未曾加害与你，不可无故与他相争。 Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm. 3:31 不可嫉妒强暴的人，也不可选择他所行的路。 Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. 3:32 因为乖僻人为耶和华所憎恶。正直人为他所亲密。 For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous. 3:33 耶和华咒诅恶人的家庭，赐福与义人的居所。 The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just. 3:34 他讥诮那好讥诮的人，赐恩给谦卑的人。 Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly. 3:35 智慧人必承受尊荣。愚昧人高升也成为羞辱。 The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.

第四章 Chapter 44:1 众子阿，要听父亲的教训，留心得知聪明。 Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. 4:2 因我所给你们的，是好教训。不可离弃我的法则。（或作指教） For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law. 4:3 我在父亲面前为孝子，在母亲眼中为独一的娇儿。 For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother. 4:4 父亲教训我说，你心要存记我的言语，遵守我的命令，便得存活。 He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. 4:5 要得智慧，要得聪明。不可忘记，也不可偏离我口中的言语。 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. 4:6 不可离弃智慧，智慧就护卫你。要爱他，他就保守你。 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. 4:7 智慧为首。所以要得智慧。在你一切所得之内，必得聪明。（或作用你一切所得的去换聪明） Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. 4:8 高举智慧，他就使你高升。怀抱智慧，他就使你尊荣。 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. 4:9 他必将华冠加在你头上，把荣冕交给你。 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. 4:10 我儿，你要听受我的言语，就必延年益寿。 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many. 4:11 我已指教你走智慧的道，引导你行正直的路。 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. 4:12 你行走，脚步必不致狭窄。你奔跑，也不致跌倒。 When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble. 4:13 要持定训诲，不可放松。必当谨守，因为他是你的生命。 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life. 4:14 不可行恶人的路。不可走坏人的道。 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. 4:15 要躲避，不可轻过。要转身而去。 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. 4:16 这等人若不行恶，不得睡觉。不使人跌倒，睡卧不安。 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall. 4:17 因为他们以奸恶吃饼，以强暴喝酒。 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence. 4:18 但义人的路，好像黎明的光，越照越明，直到日午。 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. 4:19 恶人的道好像幽暗。自己不知因什吗跌倒。 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. 4:20 我儿，要留心听我的言词，侧耳听我的话语。 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 4:21 都不可离你的眼目。要存记在你心中。 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 4:22 因为得着他的，就得了生命，又得了医全体的良药。 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. 4:23 你要保守你心，胜过保守一切。（或作你要切切保守你心）因为一生的果效，是由心发出。 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. 4:24 你要除掉邪僻的口，弃绝乖谬的嘴。 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. 4:25 你的眼目，要向前升看，你的眼睛，（原文作皮）当向前直观。 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. 4:26 要修平你脚下的路，坚定你一切的道。 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. 4:27 不可偏向左右。要使你的脚离开邪恶。 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

第五章 Chapter 55:1 我儿，要留心我智慧的话语，侧耳听我聪明的言词。 My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding: 5:2 为要使你谨守谋略，嘴唇保存知识。 That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge. 5:3 因为淫妇的嘴滴下蜂蜜，他的口比油更滑。 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: 5:4 至终却苦似茵？？，快如两刃的刀。 But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. 5:5 他的脚，下入死地。他脚步，踏住阴间。 Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell. 5:6 以致他找不着生命平坦的道。他的路变迁不定，自己还不知道。 Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them. 5:7 众子阿，现在要听从我，不可离弃我口中的话。 Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth. 5:8 你所行的道要离他远，不可就近他的房门。 Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house: 5:9 恐怕将你的尊荣给别人，将你的岁月给残忍的人。 Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel: 5:10 恐怕外人满得你的力量，你劳碌得来的，归入外人的家。 Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger; 5:11 终久你皮肉和身体消毁，你就悲叹， And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed, 5:12 说，我怎吗恨恶训诲，心中藐视责备， And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof; 5:13 也不听从我师父的话，又不侧耳听那教训我的人。 And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me! 5:14 我在圣会里，几乎落在诸般恶中。 I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly. 5:15 你要喝自己池中的水，饮自己井里的活水。 Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. 5:16 你的泉源岂可涨溢在外。你的河水岂可流在街上。 Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets. 5:17 惟独归你一人，不可与外人同用。 Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee. 5:18 要使你的泉源蒙福。要喜悦你幼年所娶的妻。 Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth. 5:19 他如可爱的？？鹿，可喜的母鹿。愿他的胸怀，使你时时知足。他的爱情，使你常常恋慕。 Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love. 5:20 我儿，你为何恋慕淫妇，为何抱外女的胸怀。 And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger? 5:21 因为人所行的道，都在耶和华眼前。他也修平人一切的路。 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings. 5:22 恶人必被自己的罪孽捉住。他必被自己的罪恶如绳索缠绕。 His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. 5:23 他因不受训诲，就必死亡。又因愚昧过甚，必走差了路。 He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

7:1 我儿，你要遵守我的言语，将我的命令存记在心。 My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. 7:2 遵守我的命令，就得存活。保守我的法则，（或作指教）好像保守眼中的瞳人。 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. 7:3 系在你指头上，刻在你心版上。 Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart. 7:4 对智慧说，你是我的姊妹。称呼聪明为你的亲人。 Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman: 7:5 他就保你远离淫妇，远离说谄媚话的外女。 That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words. 7:6 我曾在我房屋的窗户内，从我窗棂之间，往外观看。 For at the window of my house I looked through my casement, 7:7 见愚昧人内，少年人中，分明有一个无知的少年人， And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding, 7:8 从街上经过，走近淫妇的巷口，直往通他家的路去， Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house, 7:9 在黄昏，或晚上，或半夜，或黑暗之中， In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night: 7:10 看哪，有一个妇人来迎接他，是妓女的打扮，有诡诈的心思。 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. 7:11 这妇人喧囔不守约束，在家里停不住脚。 (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house: 7:12 有时在街市上，有时在宽阔处，或在各巷口蹲伏。 Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.) 7:13 拉住那少年人，与他亲嘴，脸无羞耻对他说， So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him, 7:14 平安祭在我这里。今日才还了我所许的愿。 I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows. 7:15 因此，我出来迎接你，恳求见你的面，恰巧遇见了你。 Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee. 7:16 我以经用绣花毯子，和埃及线织的花纹布，铺了我的床。 I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt. 7:17 我又用没药，沉香，桂皮，薰了我的榻。 I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. 7:18 你来，我们可以饱享爱情，直到早晨。我们可以彼此亲爱欢乐。 Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves. 7:19 因为我丈夫不在家，出门行远路。 For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey: 7:20 他手拿银囊。必到月望才回家。 He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed. 7:21 淫妇用许多巧言诱他随从，用谄媚的嘴逼他同行。 With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him. 7:22 少年人立刻跟随他，好像牛往宰杀之地，又像愚昧人带锁链，去受刑罚。 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; 7:23 直等箭穿他的肝，如同雀鸟急入网罗，却不知是自丧己命。 Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life. 7:24 众子阿，现在要听从我，留心听我口中的话。 Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth. 7:25 你的心，不可偏向淫妇的道。不要入他的迷途。 Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. 7:26 因为被他伤害仆倒的不少。被他杀戳的而且甚多。 For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her. 7:27 他的家是在阴间之路，下到死亡之宫。 Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

9:1 智慧建造房屋，凿成七根柱子， Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars: 9:2 宰杀牲畜，调和旨酒，设摆筵席。 She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table. 9:3 打发使女出去，自己在城中至高处呼叫， She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city, 9:4 说，谁是愚蒙人，可以转到这里来。又对那无知的人说， Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him, 9:5 你们来，吃我的饼，喝我调和的酒。 Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled. 9:6 你们愚蒙人，要舍弃愚蒙，就得存活。并要走光明的道。 Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding. 9:7 指斥亵慢人的，必受辱骂。责备恶人的，必被玷污。 He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot. 9:8 不要责备亵慢人，恐怕他恨你。要责备智慧人，他必爱你。 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. 9:9 教导智慧人，他就越发有智慧。指示义人，他就增长学问。 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. 9:10 敬畏耶和华，是智慧的开端。认识至圣者，便是聪明。 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. 9:11 你藉着我，日子必增多，年岁也必加添。 For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased. 9:12 你若有智慧，是与自己有益。你若亵慢，就必独自担当。 If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it. 9:13 愚昧的妇人喧囔。他是愚蒙，一无所知。 A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing. 9:14 他坐在自己的家门口，坐在城中高处的座位上， For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city, 9:15 呼叫过路的，就是直行其道的人， To call passengers who go right on their ways: 9:16 说，谁是愚蒙人，可以转到这里来。又对那无知的人说， Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him, 9:17 偷来的水是甜的，暗吃的饼是好的。 Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant. 9:18 人却不知有阴魂在他那里。他的客在阴间的深处。 But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.

10:1 所罗门的箴言。智慧之子，使父亲欢乐。愚昧之子，叫母亲担忧。 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. 10:2 不义之财，毫无益处。惟有公义，能救人脱离死亡。 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death. 10:3 耶和华不使义人受饥饿。恶人所欲的他必推开。 The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked. 10:4 手懒的要受贫穷。手勤的却要富足。 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. 10:5 夏天聚敛的，是智慧之子。收割时沉睡的，是贻羞之子。 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame. 10:6 福祉临到义人的头。强暴蒙蔽恶人的口。 Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. 10:7 义人的纪念被称赞。恶人的名字必朽烂。 The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot. 10:8 心中智慧的，必受命令。口里愚妄的，必致倾倒。 The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall. 10:9 行正直路的，步步安稳。走弯曲道的，必致败露。 He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. 10:10 以眼传神的，使人忧患。口里愚妄的，必致倾倒。 He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall. 10:11 义人的口是生命的泉源。强暴蒙蔽恶人的口。 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. 10:12 恨能挑启争端。爱能遮掩一切过错。 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins. 10:13 明哲人嘴里有智慧。无知人背上受刑杖。 In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding. 10:14 智慧人积存知识。愚妄人的口速致败坏。 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction. 10:15 富户的财物，是他的坚城。穷人的贫乏，是他的败坏。 The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty. 10:16 义人的勤劳致生。恶人的进项致死。（死原文作罪） The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin. 10:17 谨守训诲的，乃在生命的道上。违弃责备的，便失迷了路。 He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth. 10:18 隐藏怨恨的，有说谎的嘴。口出谗谤的，是愚妄的人。 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. 10:19 多言多语难免有过。禁止嘴唇是有智慧。 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise. 10:20 义人的舌，乃似高银。恶人的心，所值无几。 The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth. 10:21 义人的口教养多人。愚昧人因无知而死亡。 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom. 10:22 耶和华所赐的福，使人富足。并不加上忧虑。 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. 10:23 愚妄人以行恶为戏耍。明哲人却以智慧为乐。 It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom. 10:24 恶人所怕的必临到他。义人所愿的必蒙应允。 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted. 10:25 暴风一过，恶人归于无有。义人的根基却是永久。 As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation. 10:26 懒惰人叫差他的人，如醋倒牙，如烟薰目。 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him. 10:27 敬畏耶和华，使人日子加多。但恶人的年岁必被减少。 The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened. 10:28 义人的盼望，必得喜乐。恶人的指望，必至灭没。 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. 10:29 耶和华的道，是正直人的保障。却成了作孽人的败坏。 The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. 10:30 义人永不挪移。恶人不得住在地上。 The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth. 10:31 义人的口，滋生智慧。乖谬的舌，必被割断。 The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out. 10:32 义人的嘴，能令人喜悦。恶人的口，说乖谬的话。 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.

11:1 诡诈的天平，为耶和华所憎恶。公平的法码，为他所喜悦。 A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight. 11:2 骄傲来，羞耻也来。谦逊人却有智慧。 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. 11:3 正直人的纯正，必引导自己。奸诈人的乖僻，必毁灭自己。 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. 11:4 发怒的日子，赀财无益。惟有公义能救人脱离死亡。 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death. 11:5 完全人的义，必指引他的路。但恶人必因自己的恶跌倒。 The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. 11:6 正直人的义，必拯救自己。奸诈人必陷在自己的罪孽中。 The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness. 11:7 恶人一死，他的指望必灭绝。罪人的盼望，也必灭没。 When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth. 11:8 义人得脱离患难，有恶人来代替他。 The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead. 11:9 不虔敬的人用口败坏邻舍。义人却因知识得救。 An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. 11:10 义人享福合城喜乐。恶人灭亡，人都欢呼。 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting. 11:11 城因正直人祝福便高举。却因邪恶人的口就倾覆。 By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. 11:12 藐视邻舍的，毫无智慧。明哲人却静默不言。 He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace. 11:13 往来传舌的，泄漏密事。心中诚实的，遮隐事情。 A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. 11:14 无智谋，民就败落。谋士多，人便安居。 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. 11:15 外人作保的，必受亏损。恨恶击掌的，却得安稳。 He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure. 11:16 恩德的妇女得尊荣。强暴的男子得赀财。 A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches. 11:17 仁慈的人，善待自己。残忍的人，扰害己身。 The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh. 11:18 恶人经营，得虚浮的工价。撒义种的，得实在的果效。 The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. 11:19 恒心为义的，必得生命。追求邪恶的，必致死亡。 As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death. 11:20 心中乖僻的，为耶和华所憎恶。行事完全的，为他所喜悦。 They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight. 11:21 恶人虽然连手，必不免受罚。义人的后裔，必得拯救。 Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. 11:22 妇女美貌而无见识，如同金环带在猪鼻上。 As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion. 11:23 义人的心愿，尽得好处。恶人的指望，致干忿怒。 The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath. 11:24 有施散的，却更增添。有吝惜过度的，反致穷乏。 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. 11:25 好施舍的，必得丰裕。滋润人的，必得滋润。 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. 11:26 屯粮不卖的，民必咒诅他。情愿出卖的，人必为他祝福。 He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it. 11:27 恳切求善的，就求得恩惠。惟独求恶的，恶必临到他身。 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him. 11:28 依仗自己财物的，必跌倒。义人必发旺如青叶。 He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch. 11:29 扰害己家的，必承受清风。愚昧人必作慧心人的仆人。 He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart. 11:30 义人所结的果子，就是生命树。有智慧的必能得人。 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. 11:31 看哪，义人在世尚且受报，何况恶人和罪人呢。 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.

12:1 喜爱管教的，就是喜爱知识。恨恶责备的，却是畜类。 Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish. 12:2 善人必蒙耶和华的嗯惠。设诡计的人，耶和华必定他得罪。 A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn. 12:3 人靠恶行不能坚立。义人的根，必不动摇。 A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved. 12:4 才德的妇人，是丈夫的冠冕。贻羞的妇人，如同朽烂在他丈夫的骨中。 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones. 12:5 义人的思念是公平。恶人的计谋是诡诈。 The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit. 12:6 恶人的言论，是埋伏流人的血。正直人的口，必拯救人。 The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them. 12:7 恶人倾覆，归于无有。义人的家，必站得住。 The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand. 12:8 人必按自己的智慧被称赞。心中乖谬的，必被藐视。 A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised. 12:9 被人轻贱，却有仆人，强如自尊，缺少食物。 He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread. 12:10 义人顾惜他牲畜的命。恶人的怜悯，也是残忍。 A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. 12:11 耕种自己田地的，必得饱食。追随虚浮的，却是无知。 He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding. 12:12 恶人想得坏人的网罗。义人的根，得以结实。 The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit. 12:13 恶人嘴中的过错，是自己的网罗。但义人必脱离患难。 The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble. 12:14 人因口所结的果子，必饱得美福。人手所作的，必为自己的报应。 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him. 12:15 愚妄人所行的，在自己的眼中看为正直。惟智慧人，肯听人的劝教。 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise. 12:16 愚妄人的恼怒，立时显露。通达人能忍辱藏羞。 A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame. 12:17 说出真话的，显明公义。作假见证的，显出诡诈。 He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit. 12:18 说话浮躁的，如刀刺人。智慧人的舌头，却为医人的良药。 There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health. 12:19 口吐真言，永远坚立。舌说谎话，只存片时。 The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment. 12:20 图谋恶事的，心存诡诈。劝人和睦的，便得喜乐。 Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy. 12:21 义人不遭灾害恶人满受祸患。 There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief. 12:22 说谎言的嘴，为耶和华所憎恶。行事诚实的，为他所喜悦。 Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight. 12:23 通达人隐藏知识。愚昧人的心，彰显愚昧。 A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness. 12:24 殷勤人的手必掌权。懒惰的人必服苦。 The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. 12:25 人心忧虑，屈而不伸。一句良言，使心欢乐。 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad. 12:26 义人引导他的邻舍。恶人的道，叫人失迷。 The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them. 12:27 懒惰的人，不烤打猎所得的。殷勤的人，却得宝贵的财物。 The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious. 12:28 在公义的道上有生命。其路之中，并无死亡。 In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

13:1 智慧子听父亲的教训。亵慢人不听责备。 A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke. 13:2 人因口所结的果子，必享美福。奸诈人必遭强暴。 A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence. 13:3 谨守口的，得保生命。大张嘴的，必致败亡。 He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. 13:4 懒惰人羡慕，却无所得。殷勤人必得丰裕。 The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat. 13:5 义人恨恶谎言。恶人有臭名，且致惭愧。 A righteous man hateth lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and cometh to shame. 13:6 行为正直的，有公义保守。犯罪的被邪恶倾覆。 Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner. 13:7 假作富足的，却一无所有。装作穷乏的，却广有财物。 There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches. 13:8 人的赀财，是他生命的赎价。穷乏人却听不见威吓的话。 The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke. 13:9 义人的光明亮。（明亮原文作喜欢）恶人的灯要熄灭。 The light of the righteous rejoiceth: but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out. 13:10 骄傲只启争竞。听劝言的，却有智慧。 Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom. 13:11 不劳而得之财，必然消耗。勤劳积蓄的，必见加增。 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase. 13:12 所盼望的迟延未得，令人心忧。所愿意的临到，却是生命树。 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. 13:13 藐视训言的，自取灭亡。敬畏诫命的，必得善报。 Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded. 13:14 智慧人的法则，（或作指教）是生命的泉源，可以使人离开死亡的网罗。 The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. 13:15 美好的聪明，使人蒙恩。奸诈人的道路，崎岖难行。 Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard. 13:16 凡通达人都凭知识行事。愚昧人张扬自己的愚昧。 Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly. 13:17 奸恶的使者，必陷在祸患里。忠信的使臣，乃医人的良药。 A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health. 13:18 弃绝教管的，必致贫受辱。领受责备的，必得尊荣。 Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured. 13:19 所欲的成就，心觉甘甜。远离恶事，为愚昧人所憎恶。 The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil. 13:20 与智慧人同行的，必得智慧。和愚昧人作伴的，必受亏损。 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. 13:21 祸患追赶罪人。义人必得善报。 Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed. 13:22 善人给子孙遗留产业。罪人为义人积存赀财。 A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. 13:23 穷人耕种多得粮食，但因不义有消灭的。 Much food is in the tillage of the poor: but there is that is destroyed for want of judgment. 13:24 不忍用杖打儿子的，是恨恶他。疼爱儿子的，随时管教。 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. 13:25 义人吃得饱足。恶人肚腹缺粮。 The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.

15:1 回答柔和，使怒消退。言语暴戾，触动怒气。 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. 15:2 智慧人的舌，善发知识。愚昧人的口，吐出愚昧。 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness. 15:3 耶和华的眼目，无处不在。恶人善人，他都鉴察。 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. 15:4 温良的舌，是生命树。乖谬的嘴，使人心碎。 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit. 15:5 愚妄人藐视父亲的管教。领受责备的，得着见识。 A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. 15:6 义人家中，多有财宝。恶人得利，反受扰害。 In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble. 15:7 智慧人的嘴，播扬知识。愚昧人的心，并不如此。 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so. 15:8 恶人献祭，为耶和华所憎恶。正直人祈祷，为他所喜悦。 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight. 15:9 恶人的道路，为耶和华所憎恶。追求公义的，为他所喜爱。 The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness. 15:10 舍弃正路的，必受严刑。恨恶责备的，必致死亡。 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die. 15:11 阴间和死亡，尚在耶和华眼前，何况世人的心呢。 Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men? 15:12 亵慢人不爱受责备。他也不就近智慧人。 A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise. 15:13 心中喜乐，面带笑容。心里忧愁，灵被损伤。 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. 15:14 聪明人心求知识。愚昧人口吃愚昧。 The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness. 15:15 困苦人的日子，都是愁苦。心中欢畅的，常享丰筵。 All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast. 15:16 少有财宝，敬畏耶和华，强如多有财宝，烦乱不安。 Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith. 15:17 吃素菜，彼此相爱，强如吃肥牛，彼此相恨。 Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith. 15:18 暴怒的人，挑启争端。忍怒的人，止息分争。 A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife. 15:19 懒惰人的道，像荆棘的篱笆。正直人的路，是平坦的大道。 The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain. 15:20 智慧子使父亲喜乐。愚昧人藐视母亲。 A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother. 15:21 无知的人，以愚妄为乐。聪明的人，按正直而行。 Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly. 15:22 不先商议，所谋无效。谋士众多，所谋乃成。 Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. 15:23 口善应对，自觉喜乐。话合其时，何等美好。 A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! 15:24 智慧人从生命的道上升，使他远离在下的阴间。 The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath. 15:25 耶和华必拆毁骄傲人的家。却要立定寡妇的地界。 The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow. 15:26 恶谋为耶和华所憎恶。良言乃为纯净。 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words. 15:27 贪恋财利的，扰害己家。恨恶贿赂的，必得存活。 He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live. 15:28 义人的心，思量如何回答。恶人的口，吐出恶言。 The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things. 15:29 耶和华远离恶人。却听义人的祷告。 The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous. 15:30 眼有光使心喜乐。好信息使骨滋润。 The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat. 15:31 听从生命责备的，必常在智慧人中。 The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise. 15:32 弃绝管教的，轻看自己的生命。听从责备的，却得智慧。 He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding. 15:33 敬畏耶和华，是智慧的训诲。尊荣以前，必有谦卑。 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.

16:1 心中的谋算在乎人。舌头的应对，由于耶和华。 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD. 16:2 人一切所行的，在自己眼中看为清洁。惟有耶和华衡量人心。 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits. 16:3 你所作的，要交托耶和华，你所谋的，就必成立。 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. 16:4 耶和华所造的，各适其用。就是恶人，也为祸患的日子所造。 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. 16:5 凡心里骄傲的，为耶和华所憎恶。虽然连手，他必不免受罚。 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. 16:6 因怜悯诚实，罪孽得赎。敬畏耶和华的，远离恶事。 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil. 16:7 人所行的若蒙耶和华喜悦，耶和华也使他的仇敌与他和好。 When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. 16:8 多有财利，行事不义，不如少有财利，行事公义。 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right. 16:9 人心筹算自己的道路。惟耶和华指引他的脚步。 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. 16:10 王的嘴中有神语。审判之时，他的口，必不差错。 A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment. 16:11 公道的天平和秤，都属耶和华。囊中一切法码，都为他所定。 A just weight and balance are the LORD's: all the weights of the bag are his work. 16:12 作恶为王所憎恶。因国位是靠公义坚立。 It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness. 16:13 公义的嘴，为王所喜悦。说正直话的，为王所喜爱。 Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right. 16:14 王的震怒，如杀人的使者。但智慧人能止息王怒。 The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it. 16:15 王的脸光，使人有生命。王的恩典，好像春云时雨。 In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain. 16:16 得智慧胜似得金子。选聪明强如选银子。 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! 16:17 正直人的道，是远离恶事。谨守己路的，是保全性命。 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul. 16:18 骄傲在败坏以先，狂心在跌倒之前。 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. 16:19 心里谦卑与穷乏人来往，强如将掳物与骄傲人同分。 Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. 16:20 谨守训言的，必得好处。依靠耶和华的，便为有福。 He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he. 16:21 心中有智慧，必称为通达人。嘴中的甜言，加增人的学问。 The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning. 16:22 人有智慧就有生命的泉源。愚昧人必被愚昧惩治。 Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly. 16:23 智慧人的心，教训他的口，又使他的嘴，增长学问。 The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips. 16:24 良言如同蜂房，使心觉甘甜，使骨得医治。 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. 16:25 有一条路，人以为正，至终成为死亡之路。 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. 16:26 劳力人的胃口，使他劳力，因为他的口腹催逼他。 He that laboureth laboureth for himself; for his mouth craveth it of him. 16:27 匪徒图谋奸恶，嘴上彷佛有烧焦的火。 An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire. 16:28 乖僻人播散分争。传舌的离间密友。 A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends. 16:29 强暴人诱惑邻舍，领他走不善之道。 A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good. 16:30 眼目紧合的，图谋乖僻，嘴唇紧闭的，成就邪恶。 He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass. 16:31 白发是荣耀的冠冕。在公义的道上，必能得着。 The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness. 16:32 不轻易发怒的，胜过勇士。治服己心的，强如取城。 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. 16:33 签放在怀里。定事由耶和华。 The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.

17:1 设筵满屋，大家相争，不如有块乾饼，大家相安。 Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife. 17:2 仆人办事聪明，必管辖贻羞之子，又在众子中，同分产业。 A wise servant shall have rule over a son that causeth shame, and shall have part of the inheritance among the brethren. 17:3 鼎为炼银，炉为炼金。惟有耶和华熬炼人心。 The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts. 17:4 行恶的留心听奸诈之言。说谎的侧耳听邪恶之语。 A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue. 17:5 戏笑穷人的，是辱没造他的主。幸灾乐祸的，必不免受罚。 Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker: and he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished. 17:6 子孙为老人的冠冕。父亲是儿女的荣耀。 Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers. 17:7 愚顽人说美言本不相宜，何况君王说谎话呢。 Excellent speech becometh not a fool: much less do lying lips a prince. 17:8 贿赂在馈送人的眼中，看为宝玉。随处运动，都得顺利。 A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it: whithersoever it turneth, it prospereth. 17:9 遮掩人过的，寻求人爱。屡次挑错的，离间密友。 He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends. 17:10 一句责备话，深入聪明人的心，强如责打愚昧人一百下。 A reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool. 17:11 恶人只寻背叛，所以必有严厉的使者，奉差攻击他。 An evil man seeketh only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him. 17:12 宁可遇见丢崽子的母熊，不可遇见正行愚妄的愚昧人。 Let a bear robbed of her whelps meet a man, rather than a fool in his folly. 17:13 以恶报善的，祸患必不离他的家。 Whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house. 17:14 分争的起头，如水放开。所以在争闹之先，必当止息争竞。 The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water: therefore leave off contention, before it be meddled with. 17:15 定恶人为义的，定义人为恶的，这都为耶和华所憎恶。 He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD. 17:16 愚昧人既无聪明，为何手拿价银买智慧呢。 Wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he hath no heart to it? 17:17 朋友乃时常亲爱。弟兄为患难而生。 A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. 17:18 在邻舍面前击掌作保，乃是无知的人。 A man void of understanding striketh hands, and becometh surety in the presence of his friend. 17:19 喜爱争竞的，是喜爱过犯。高立家门的，乃自取败坏。 He loveth transgression that loveth strife: and he that exalteth his gate seeketh destruction. 17:20 心存邪僻的，寻不着好处。舌弄是非的，陷在祸患中。 He that hath a froward heart findeth no good: and he that hath a perverse tongue falleth into mischief. 17:21 生愚昧子的，必自愁苦。愚顽人的父，毫无喜乐。 He that begetteth a fool doeth it to his sorrow: and the father of a fool hath no joy. 17:22 喜乐的心，乃是良药。忧伤的灵，使骨枯乾。 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. 17:23 恶人暗中受贿赂，为要倾倒判断。 A wicked man taketh a gift out of the bosom to pervert the ways of judgment. 17:24 明哲人眼前有智慧。愚昧人眼望地极。 Wisdom is before him that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth. 17:25 愚昧子使父亲愁烦，使母亲忧苦。 A foolish son is a grief to his father, and bitterness to her that bare him. 17:26 判罚义人为不善。责打君子为不义。 Also to punish the just is not good, nor to strike princes for equity. 17:27 寡少言语的有知识。性情温良的有聪明。 He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. 17:28 愚昧人若静默不言，也可算为智慧。闭口不说，也可算为聪明。 Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.

18:1 与众寡合的，独自寻求心愿，并恼恨一切真智慧。 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom. 18:2 愚昧人不喜爱明哲，只喜爱显露心意。 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself. 18:3 恶人来，藐视随来。羞耻到，辱骂同到。 When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach. 18:4 人口中的言语，如同深水。智慧的泉源，好像涌流的河水。 The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook. 18:5 瞻徇恶人的情面，偏断义人的案件，都为不善。 It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment. 18:6 愚昧人张嘴启争端，开口招鞭打。 A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes. 18:7 愚昧人的口，自取败坏。他的嘴，是他生命的网罗。 A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. 18:8 传舌人的言语，如同美食，深入人的心腹。 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly. 18:9 作工懈怠的，与浪费人为弟兄。 He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster. 18:10 耶和华的名，是坚固台。义人奔入，便得安稳。 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. 18:11 富足人的财物，是他的坚城，在他心想，犹如高墙。 The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit. 18:12 败坏之先，人心骄傲。尊荣以前，必有谦卑。 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility. 18:13 未曾听完先回答的，便是他的愚昧，和羞辱。 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him. 18:14 人有疾病，心能忍耐。心灵忧伤，谁能承当呢。 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear? 18:15 聪明人的心得知识。智慧人的耳求知识。 The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge. 18:16 人的礼物，为他开路，引他到高位的人面前。 A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. 18:17 先诉情由的，似乎有理。但邻舍来到，就察出实情。 He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him. 18:18 掣签能止息争竞，也能解散强胜的人。 The lot causeth contentions to cease, and parteth between the mighty. 18:19 弟兄结怨，劝他和好，比取坚固城还难。这样的争竞，如同坚寨的门闩。 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle. 18:20 人口中所结的果子，必充满肚腹。他嘴所出的，必使他饱足。 A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. 18:21 生死在舌头的权下。喜爱他的，必吃他所结的果子。 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. 18:22 得着贤妻的，是得着好处，也是蒙了耶和华的恩惠。 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD. 18:23 贫穷人说哀求的话。富足人用威吓的话回答。 The poor useth intreaties; but the rich answereth roughly. 18:24 滥交朋友的，自取败坏。但有一朋友，比弟兄更亲密。 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

19:1 行为纯正的贫穷人，胜过乖谬愚妄的富足人。 Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool. 19:2 心无知识的，乃为不善。脚步急快的难免犯罪。 Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth. 19:3 人的愚昧，倾败他的道。他的心也抱怨耶和华。 The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD. 19:4 财物使朋友增多。但穷人朋友远离。 Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour. 19:5 作假见证的，必不免受罚。吐出谎言的，终不能逃脱。 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape. 19:6 好施散的，有多人求他的恩情。爱送礼的，人都为他的朋友。 Many will intreat the favour of the prince: and every man is a friend to him that giveth gifts. 19:7 贫穷人弟兄都恨他，何况他的朋友，更远离他。他用言语追随，他们却走了。 All the brethren of the poor do hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him? he pursueth them with words, yet they are wanting to him. 19:8 得着智慧的，爱惜生命，保守聪明的，必得好处。 He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good. 19:9 作假见证的，不免受罚。吐出谎言的，也必灭亡。 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish. 19:10 愚昧人宴乐度日，是不合宜的，何况仆人管辖王子呢。 Delight is not seemly for a fool; much less for a servant to have rule over princes. 19:11 人有见识，就不轻易发怒。宽恕人的过失，便是自己的荣耀。 The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression. 19:12 王的忿怒，好像狮子吼叫。他的恩典，却如草上的甘露。 The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass. 19:13 愚昧的儿子，是父亲的祸患。妻子的争吵，如雨连连滴漏。 A foolish son is the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping. 19:14 房屋钱财。是祖宗所遗留的。惟有贤慧的妻，是耶和华所赐的。 House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD. 19:15 懒惰使人沉睡。懈怠的人，必受饥饿。 Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger. 19:16 谨守诫命的，保全生命。轻忽己路的，必致死亡。 He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die. 19:17 怜悯贫穷的，就是借给耶和华。他的善行，耶和华必偿还。 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. 19:18 趁有指望，管教你的儿子。你的心不可任他死亡。 Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying. 19:19 暴怒的人，必受刑罚。你若救他，必须再救。 A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again. 19:20 你要听劝教，受训诲，使你终久有智慧。 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. 19:21 人心多有计谋。惟有耶和华的筹算，才能立定。 There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. 19:22 施行仁慈的，令人爱慕。穷人强如说谎言的。 The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar. 19:23 敬畏耶和华的，得着生命。他必恒久知足，不遭祸患。 The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil. 19:24 懒惰人放手在盘子里。就是向口撤回，他也不肯。 A slothful man hideth his hand in his bosom, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again. 19:25 鞭打亵慢人，愚蒙人必长见识。责备明哲人，他就明白知识。 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge. 19:26 虐待父亲，撵出母亲的，是贻羞致辱之子。 He that wasteth his father, and chaseth away his mother, is a son that causeth shame, and bringeth reproach. 19:27 我儿，不可听了教训，而又偏离知识的言语。 Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge. 19:28 匪徒作见证戏笑公平。恶人的口吞下罪孽。 An ungodly witness scorneth judgment: and the mouth of the wicked devoureth iniquity. 19:29 刑罚是为亵慢人豫备的。鞭打是为愚昧人的背豫备的。 Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.

20:1 酒能使人亵慢，浓酒使人喧囔。凡因酒错误的，就无智慧。 Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. 20:2 王的威吓，如同狮子吼叫。惹动他怒的，是自害己命。 The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whoso provoketh him to anger sinneth against his own soul. 20:3 远离分争，是人的尊荣。愚妄人都爱争闹。 It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling. 20:4 懒惰人因冬寒不肯耕种。到收割的时候，他必讨饭，而无所得。 The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing. 20:5 人心怀藏谋略，好像深水。惟明哲人，才能汲引出来。 Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out. 20:6 人多述说自己的仁慈。但忠信人谁能遇着呢。 Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find? 20:7 行为纯正的义人，他的子孙，是有福的。 The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him. 20:8 王坐在审判的位上，以眼目驱散诸恶。 A king that sitteth in the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes. 20:9 谁能说，我洁净了我的心。我脱净了我的罪。 Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin? 20:10 两样的法码，两样的升斗，都为耶和华所憎恶。 Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the LORD. 20:11 孩童的动作，是清洁，是正直，都显明他的本性。 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right. 20:12 能听的耳，能看的眼，都是耶和华所造的。 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them. 20:13 不要贪睡，免致贫穷。眼要睁开，你就吃饱。 Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread. 20:14 买物的说，不好，不好。及至买去，他便自夸。 It is naught, it is naught, saith the buyer: but when he is gone his way, then he boasteth. 20:15 有金子，和许多珍珠。（或作红宝石）惟有知识的嘴，乃为贵重的珍宝。 There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel. 20:16 谁为生人作保，就拿谁的衣服。谁为外人作保，谁就要承当。 Take his garment that is surety for a stranger: and take a pledge of him for a strange woman. 20:17 以虚谎而得的食物，人觉甘甜。但后来他的口，必充满尘沙。 Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel. 20:18 计谋都凭筹算立定。打仗要凭智谋。 Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war. 20:19 往来传舌的，泄漏密事。大张嘴的不可与他结交。 He that goeth about as a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips. 20:20 咒骂父母的，他的灯必灭，变为漆黑的黑暗。 Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness. 20:21 起初速得的产业，终久却不为福。 An inheritance may be gotten hastily at the beginning; but the end thereof shall not be blessed. 20:22 你不要说，我要以恶报恶。要等候耶和华，他必拯救你。 Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee. 20:23 两样的法码，为耶和华所憎恶。诡诈的天平，也为不善。 Divers weights are an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance is not good. 20:24 人的脚步，为耶和华所定。人岂能明白自己的路呢。 Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way? 20:25 人冒失说，这是圣物，许愿之后才查问，就是自陷网罗。 It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make enquiry. 20:26 智慧的王，簸散恶人，用碌碡辊轧他们。 A wise king scattereth the wicked, and bringeth the wheel over them. 20:27 人的灵是耶和华的灯，鉴察人的心腹。 The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly. 20:28 王因仁慈和诚实，得以保全他的国位，也因仁慈立稳。 Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upholden by mercy. 20:29 强壮乃少年的荣耀。白发为老年人的尊荣。 The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the grey head. 20:30 鞭伤除净人的罪恶。责打能入人的心腹。 The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.

22:1 美名胜过大财，恩宠强如金银。 A GOOD name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. 22:2 富户穷人，在世相遇，都为耶和华所造。 The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all. 22:3 通达人见祸藏躲。愚蒙人前往受害。 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. 22:4 敬畏耶和华心存谦卑，就得富有，尊荣，生命，为赏赐。 By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life. 22:5 乖僻人的路上，有荆棘和网罗。保守自己生命的。必要远离。 Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward: he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them. 22:6 教养孩童，使他走当行的道，就是到老他也不偏离。 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. 22:7 富户管辖穷人，欠债的是债主的仆人。 The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. 22:8 撒罪孽的，必收灾祸。他逞怒的杖，也必废掉。 He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail. 22:9 眼目慈善的，就必蒙福。因他将食物分给穷人。 He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor. 22:10 赶出亵慢人，争端就消除，分争和羞辱，也必止息。 Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease. 22:11 喜爱清心的人，因他嘴上的恩言，王必与他为友。 He that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend. 22:12 耶和华的眼目，眷顾聪明人。却倾败奸诈人的言语。 The eyes of the LORD preserve knowledge, and he overthroweth the words of the transgressor. 22:13 懒惰人说，外头有狮子，我在街上，就必被杀。 The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets. 22:14 淫妇的口为深坑，耶和华所憎恶的，必陷在其中。 The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein. 22:15 愚蒙迷住孩童的心，用管教的杖可以远远赶除。 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. 22:16 欺压贫穷为要利己的，并送礼与富户的，都必缺乏。 He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want. 22:17 你须侧耳听受智慧人的言语，留心领会我的知识， Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge. 22:18 你若心中存记，嘴上咬定，这便为美。 For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips. 22:19 我今日以此特特指教你，为要使你倚靠耶和华。 That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee. 22:20 谋略和知识的美事，我岂没有写给你吗。 Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge, 22:21 要使你知道真言的实理，你好将真言回覆那打发你来的人。 That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee? 22:22 贫穷人，你不可因他贫穷，就抢夺他的物。也不可在城门口欺压困苦人。 Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate: 22:23 因耶和华必为他辨屈。抢夺他的，耶和华必夺取那人的命。 For the LORD will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them. 22:24 好生气的人，不可与他结交。暴怒的人，不可与他来往。 Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: 22:25 恐怕你效法他的行为，自己就陷在网罗里。 Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul. 22:26 不要与人击掌，不要为欠债的作保。 Be not thou one of them that strike hands, or of them that are sureties for debts. 22:27 你若没有什么偿还，何必使人夺去你睡卧的床呢。 If thou hast nothing to pay, why should he take away thy bed from under thee? 22:28 你先祖所立的地界，你不可挪移。 Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set. 22:29 你看见办事殷勤的人吗，他必站在君王面前，必不站在下贱人面前。 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

24:1 你不要嫉妒恶人，也不要起意与他们相处。 Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them. 24:2 因为他们的心，图谋强暴。他们的口谈论奸恶。 For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief. 24:3 房屋因智慧建造，又因聪明立稳。 Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: 24:4 其中因知识充满各样美好宝贵的财物。 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches. 24:5 智慧人大有能力。有知识的人，力上加力。 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. 24:6 你去打仗，要凭智谋。谋士众多，人便得胜。 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety. 24:7 智慧极高，非愚昧人所能及，所以在城门内，不敢开口。 Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate. 24:8 设计作恶的，必称为奸人。 He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person. 24:9 愚妄人的思念，乃是罪恶。亵慢者为人所憎恶。 The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men. 24:10 你在患难之日若胆怯，你的力量就微小。 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. 24:11 人被拉到死地，你要解救。人将被杀，你须拦阻。 If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain; 24:12 你若说，这事我未曾知道。那衡量人心的，岂不明白吗。保守你命的，岂不知道吗。他岂不按各人所行的，报应各人吗。 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works? 24:13 我儿，你要吃蜜，因为是好的。吃蜂房下滴的蜜，更觉甘甜。 My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste: 24:14 你心得了智慧，也必觉的如此。你若找着，至终必有善报。你的指望，也不至断绝。 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off. 24:15 你这恶人，不要埋伏攻击义人的家。不要毁坏他安居之所。 Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place: 24:16 因为义人虽七次跌倒，仍必兴起。恶人却被祸患倾倒。 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief. 24:17 你仇敌跌倒，你不要欢喜。他倾倒，你心不要快乐。 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: 24:18 恐怕耶和华看见就不喜悦，将怒气从仇敌身上转过来。 Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him. 24:19 不要为作恶的心怀不平。也不要嫉妒恶人。 Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the wicked; 24:20 因为恶人终不得善报。恶人的灯也必熄灭。 For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out. 24:21 我儿，你要敬畏耶和华与君王。不要与反覆无常的人结交。 

My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change: 24:22 因为他们的灾难，必忽然而起。耶和华与君王所施行的毁灭，谁能知道呢。 For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both? 24:23 以下也是智慧人的箴言。审判时看人的情面，是不好的。 These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment. 24:24 对恶人说，你是义人的，这人万民必咒诅，列邦必憎恶。 He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him: 24:25 责备恶人的，必得喜悦。美好的福，也必临到他。 But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them. 24:26 应对正直的，犹如与人亲嘴。 Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer. 24:27 你要在外头豫备工料，在田间办理整齐，然后建造房屋。 Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house. 24:28 不可无故作见证，陷害邻舍。也不可用嘴欺骗人。 Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and deceive not with thy lips. 24:29 不可说，人怎样对待我，我也怎样待他，我必照他所行的报复他。 Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work. 24:30 我经过懒惰人的田地，无知人的葡萄园。 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; 24:31 荆棘长满了地皮，刺草遮盖了田面，石墙也坍塌了。 And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down. 24:32 我看见就留心思想，我看着就领了训诲。 Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction. 24:33 再睡片时，打盹片时，抱着手躺卧片时， Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: 24:34 你的贫穷，就必如强盗速来，你的缺乏，彷佛拿兵器的人来到。 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man .
