Christopher Samba flew to the club training camp in Marbella as a Hertha player, chances are, that he will no longer be one when the Hertha posse returns to Berlin. The Congo-born youngster (contract at Hertha until 2008)has had an offer from the English Premier League club Blackburn Rovers. Hoeneß: "Would be a good move for him" Hertha has been officially approached by Blackburn. The player will fly to England on either Saturday or Sunday where he will have a trial. Should everything go well, a deal could be done quickly. Manager Dieter Hoeneß: "Blackburn is a good club and it would be a good move for the lad." "He has tremendous competition at Hertha and his personal situation hasn't changed. If he wants to go we won't stop him", said the head coach Falko Götz. No loan dealShould Samba reach agreement with Rovers, Hertha is not interested in any kind of loan deal. The capital city club will only sell Samba. If a sale goes through, Hoeneß would not be drawn on the possibilities regarding possible new signings as a replacement for Samba. Both Hoeneß and Götz pointed out that with Jerome Boateng and Christopher Schorch, they already have two talents knocking at the door of the first team squad for that position.
