Peter Gade will fight for a spot in the final with Wong Choong Hann while Kenneth Jonassen will have to defeat Chen Yu in order to get an all-Danish final for the Copenhagen Masters 2006.TV series have their advantages. Peter Gade couldn’t agree more after his wife Camilla finally agreed to let him shave his head although she had been very reluctant. But after she saw the TV series “Prison Break”, she obviously changed her mind. “She saw the show and said it didn’t look so bad on the hero. On my part, I had been wanting to do this for a long time,” Gade said with a wink. Not clean-shaven, but quite close….Yet apart from the look, the Dane showed the same type of form he has for the past months against Simon Santoso of Indonesia. Very much in control of the match, it was only when he slowed down his pace that the young wonder saw an opportunity and took the second game from the Dane. “I am still satisfied even if I lost a game tonight. We have been working on little things to improve my game with my coach, for example in the variation of my attacks from the back line, and this was a good opportunity for me to try them out. It’s not a complete revolution in my game, but little things which can make me progress,” said Gade. “Next year will be very challenging as my priority, of course, will be the Super Series. One cannot be at the top at all times but I will try to work towards the first two tournaments and the world championships in Malaysia,” said Gade.Gade will face an old friend for Thursday’s second group match after Wong Choong Hann also won over Simon Santoso in another appealing match – 21/19 in the deciding game. Both players know each very well with a clear advantage for the Dane in their last few confrontations. But it will be, no matter what, a splendid battle as the Malaysian has gained some of the physical strength he was clearly lacking during their last match in the Denmark Open.
