He flashed his eyes towards Bopha, the maidservant who immigrated from a neighboring country, who is now pretending to innocently and silently stand by not too far away. When he saw that the maidservant suspiciously and quickly avoided his eye contact, he was able to guess why it was the case that not long after he had carried Cheaim’s unconscious body home, the two twins just happened to arrive here near the same time.
No wonder. It’s because there was a spy who has been making reports.


Pathapee can only pretend to ignore the teasing and playful bantering of the twins, who came and stood themselves next to him and wouldn’t go away, even when he is trying to focus his attention on his mother and Chantoo, another maidservant who is helping to nurse the unconscious young lady. “Now can you tell us, Ai Din? Who is this young lady and where did you kidnap her from? I hope she’s not a foreign princess who disguised herself from somewhere like in Yai Nam’s case, when she brought Prince Poowaned into our farm as a worker!” Akkanee said while laughing at the same time.
“A princess or not, I don’t know. But let me warn you first. From my own experience, women, if you’re not intending to be serious with them, don’t bring them home. It’s a fatal mistake. Because when she wakes up, it’d be 100 times more difficult to get her out,” Wayupak added.

That’s true. Pathapee also asked himself. Ever since he could remember, he has always joined hands with Akkanee and Wayupak in harassing various different people, inflicting pain upon them. From the maidservants in their home, friends at school, people who come and flirt with their younger sister, and even the crowned prince of Nepal, he had also harassed before. He never felt guilty in any of those cases.
But this time, just because Cheaim fell into her own trap--which should actually serve her right-- why does he feel so guilty?...Damn.
He just wanted to teach her a lesson, to discipline her and chase those ill-intentioned thoughts away from that pretty head of hers…But he didn’t think her condition would be this “bad.”


“I’ve lectured you many times already, right Din, Lom, Fai? That no matter how mischievous you all can be, don’t harass the ladies.”
“Ow, when did we become involved in this?” Akkannee’s expression became silly when he also found himself reprimanded. It’s true that their mother is sweet by nature, but when she’s riled, nobody dares to provoke her further. Or else, she would not have been able to manage and to raise the quadruplets to maturity.
“I only pranked her to teach her a small lesson” Pathapee answered uncomfortably.
“Teach her a lesson? Why do you need to teach her a lesson? And what method did you use to teach her a lesson? Did you seize her and garbled alcohol down her throat so that she’s all drunk like this?


He didn’t know how to answer his mother. He himself does not even know who she really is, where she came from, and what her real intention is in coming to the resort. If he tells his mother, she’ll say he’s overdoing it when he doesn’t even have any evidence yet.
“And is her condition serious?” Pathapee diverged his mother’s interest to Cheaim’s condition.

Her first thought was how she came to be in this beautiful room, so beautiful and so far from the familiarity that she is accustomed to.
And what puzzled her even more was the fact that the person sitting with his arms crossed on a chair next to the bed was her boss….Pathapee.


Cheaim immediately moved to get up. She felt embarrassed that she was sleeping in front of someone else, especially when that person is a man…her employer…and, deep down inside, her number one enemy!
“You feel better now?” His voice seemed transparently relieved when he saw that she finally woke up and became conscious.
“Where is this place?”
“It’s my home.”
“It’s your home?”
“That’s right…You were really ill and I didn’t grab your purse from the resort, so I didn’t know where to send you. Most importantly, here, there are people who can take care of you. It’s better than returning to your own place and sleeping alone and ill.”
“What was wrong with me?”
“You had an allergic reaction to…” he halted his words and chose to instead say, “How would I know what you were allergic to?”
“Aaay. It may have been those shrimps in the day time. Cheaim answered without making eye contact.

Pathapee shook his head. Even up to this point, her strong mouth still persists.
Pathapee still had not let out a word when he was disrupted by the voices of those people he had just referred to: the people who “can take care of her.” The voices came from the direction of the door that had been left opened.


Pathapee flinched when he heard the twins’ impulsive conversation and then saw Cheaim’s reaction. Cheaim looked at Akkaneee and Wayupak confusedly. She probably heard clearly what the two uttered. He couldn’t help but feel awkward.
He quickly got up from the chair, and it seemed he was going to join the fight over the tray of rice porridge, but he was not as quick as Montri, who came out of nowhere and grabbed the tray of rice porridge so slickly that his three sons did not dare to retaliate.

“Please pity me. The boss gave me these instructions. From now on, if you have any manner to settle, please go to him and inform him directly in person, by yourself. I’m not allowed to relay the information.”
“That’s what he instructed?”
Rosana nodded fearfully.
‘Mischievous! He’s the most mischievous!’ Cheaim thought contemptuously inside her heart.


With one hand, Rosana grabbed Cheaim and with another, she went to pull open the slide door to Pathapee’s personal office. At the same time, Nati opened the gate door and the two halted.
“Aow. Khun Nati…Khun Cheaim came to see the boss,” Rosana informed.
Nati gave Cheaim an unfriendly glance. Cheaim had gotten used to Nati’s demeanor towards her so that she wasn’t bothered by it.
“Don’t be long. The people downstairs are waiting,” He said curtly and quickly walked past her.
So Rosana continued to shove and push Cheaim inside. Then, with a cheerful voice, she announced:
“Boss…Khun Cheaim has something to inform you.” When she finished speaking, she quickly walked out, looking happy and pleased that she was able to complete the responsibility that Pathapee had assigned to her.
