THE PRAYER It's a classic song about peace between people and faith. It's a song everyone can relate to and I think that's why it's been such a success. I recorded this with a 30 piece orchestra which John Forman produced and conducted. We recorded the track and filmed the video the same day. It was such a great feeling recording with an orchestra. RAINThis song is about reminiscing about the past and realising that what we once had is now gone and out of reach. It's a great mid-tempo pop/rock song which is really driven by the guitars and has a great melody. When I first heard this song I knew it had to be on the album. HURTS SO BAD A song about love and how it can feel so right yet hurt so much. It has a mid to up-tempo pop/rock feel and I really love the guitars in this song… especially at the start! WHEN I GET THEREA song that explains that you have to love what you do to achieve your goals and dreams. Even though the road ahead may sometimes seem uncertain, you will eventually get there. It's a great ballad that's driven by beautiful strings. A favourite. OBVIOUS Lyrically, this song is about someone who doesn't know how to make it any clearer how they feel for someone. It's a really catchy mid-tempo pop song with an emphasis on percussion in the chorus and great backing vocals by Gary Pinto, which gives it a much bigger sound. PER SEMPRE (FOR ALWAYS)Well I couldn't just let "The Prayer" sit on the album all by itself could I? A big, beautiful, moving song. LOST IN SUMMERIs a funky and cool vibey song which is basically about having fun with your mates on a hot summers day. It's got a loose feel. I WANT YOUI originally recorded this song when I was about 16 or 17, so I'm really happy it's on the album. WHEN YOU WERE MY GIRLThis is about a past relationship that's over but the thoughts and feelings keep coming back. It's a great pop ballad with great harmonies and the chorus really rocks. TAKE IT TO THE HEARTIs a song about how the heart never lies. It's a mid to up-tempo pop song with a strong catchy chorus. INTO YOUR HEARTIt means a lot to me to have this song on the album because I co-wrote it when I was 16-17 and recorded it then as a power ballad. I used the same vocals from back then but now it has an up-tempo dance feel. BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATERA perfect song for recent times, especially with the recent events that have occurred in Asia.
