【新闻】2008年比赛时间表~~~~小变化~~ The FIA released the provisional 2008 calendar this week and it features 18 races from March to November. Despite the organisers of the Australian Grand Prix previously saying it would be the second race next year, Melbourne retains its usual season-opener spot, this time on March 19th. Malaysia follows a week later, then Bahrain on April 6th. Spain is scheduled as the first of the European races on April 27th and Turkey is much earlier than usual on May 11th. Monaco follows towards the end of the month, the 25th, then Canada provisionally on June 8th, the solitary race in North America with Indianapolis off the calendar. Back in Europe the previously under threat French GP is on June 22nd. Great Britain retains its early July spot, the 6th, followed by Germany on the 20th, which should be at Hockenheim. Hungary is August 3rd then comes the European GP on the 24th -- Valencia in Spain will host the race, subject to circuit approval. Italy and Belgium round off the races in Europe on the 7th and 14th of September respectively. Singapore debuts on September 28th, also subject to circuit approval, followed by China on the 12th of October and Japan on the 19th. Suzuka had hoped to regain the Japanese GP for 2008 but so far it seems that Fuji will continue to be host. "He really does have to show now though that he is not prepared to just sit where he is. I think he should also criticise the team more if they are not delivering the car he needs to win. "It is fair to do that - you can do that within the team and you can say things publicly as long as you are reasonable about it. "We're not putting things on the car at the moment that aren't working which was happening at the start of the season, but Magny-Cours is the race that I'm personally looking forward to." Button and team-mate Rubens Barrichello qualified in the top ten for the first time this season at Monaco and Jenson expects the upward trend to continue during F1's North American double-header. "I think here, where you need a very good car under braking, you need to have confidence in the car," he said. "Before Monaco I wouldn't have enjoyed this race but now that we have a car that's a lot more driveable and better under braking, I think that we should be able to have a reasonable result here. "We really made a step forward with the car at Paul Ricard. "The pace might still not be there but the consistency definitely is and the confidence given to the drivers so it's a good step forward and hopefully we can just build on that over the next few races." And last year's Hungarian GP winner hasn't ruled out a points finish on Sunday. "It would be nice to get into the points," he said. "I know that that's tough at the moment because there's so much competition, especially with the reliability at the moment, it's so good with every team, but we've just got to see if we can get a better result than Monaco, because I think we ended the race thinking damn, we could have got more out of it than we did." Rubens Barrichello "It has been a mixed week for me as my first day was affected by the rain and then we had the issue with the car today so I haven't been able to cover the laps that we were planning. However Jenson had a better time putting mileage on the car so we could still progress. I am now looking forward to the two weeks of testing in the hot weather of Bahrain where we should get a better understanding of how we are progressing compared to the competition." Christian Klien "It was good to be able to drive the new car this week. Unfortunately the weather was not so kind on my day of running with rain in the afternoon session but we were still able to complete some good laps. We do have areas to improve upon and I am sure that the new parts which we have coming will help us to move further forward in Bahrain." Jacky Eeckelaert, Engineering Director "For the last European winter test this week, we had two RA107 cars on hand. Additionally we had a number of new parts to evaluate before we run our final package for the first race of the season in Bahrain next week. Once again we focused onfinding a good balance over the longer runs, particularly during the warmer conditions of the afternoon session.
