[插画]Kimberly Schamber Studio....."Everyone loved Kimberly Schamber's Illustrations for our 23 Skidoo section in our Fall issue, so we asked her back to illustrate our Holiday cover. Look closely in our neighborhood section, and see pieces of the Flatiron Building everywhere. Scanned objects and photos from a digital camera are incorporated into her work as textures. She also gets her ideas from objects, like the mannequin found in a Flatiron store on the front cover, or the underwear, watermelon or reptile skin she claims to have sat on her scanner. Kimberly recently relocated to the lower east side of Manhattan where she can "simply take a stroll down Houston" when she needs inspiraton for a new character."
