Lead Guitarist Of Avril Lavigne Is Leaving The BandEvan Taubenfeld, Avril Lavigne's lead guitarist is leaving the band to pursue his own music career with his own band. Evan will be replaced by Devin Bronson who's most recent post was playing Rhythm Guitar for Kelly Osbourne's band. We had a chance to ask Evan a few questions on his upcoming project, read it below:Ultimate-Guitar: What are the reasons behind your decision to leave? Yes, we know that the main reason is to make your own project (with your own music), but probably there are more of them? Probably relationships issue with the rest of the band members, or unsatisfaction with the direction the band is going?Evan Taubenfeld: You've gotta be happy and you've gotta follow your dreams. With Avril, I wasn't doing what I loved. I wasn't fronting a band and singing my own music. I just couldn't do it anymore. The last three years were amazing and though I wasn't ever 100% happy I was learning and getting everything ready. The time had finally come to move on. I'd rather play my music for 10 people than play Avril's in front of 10,000 people. She's great and this decision has nothing to do with anyone personally, I get along with her and the band and consider them all family. I wish them all the best in the future.Who is working with you on your new project?I haven't really gotten anything together yet. I'm looking for band members now, infact it you want to audition you can e-mail Skylar Logan at [email protected] style of music you will choose for your new band?Its gonna be edgy rock with a young feel. The certain songs I write give it a commercial sound but I want to fucking rock end of story.The name of your project?You guys have any idea how hard band names are? damm. Over the next couple months my professional team and I are going to locate the right home for us label wise. During that time I'll be writing my ass off and looking for band members. Hopefully when we've found a label we like and get everything settled there I'll have the album songs finished and have a great band together. Then we just have to record it, put it out and take over the world! Evanworld.net reports that he will be on stage for the World Music Awards on the September, 15th. As was mentioned before, Devin will also take to the stage at this event.
