Investigate a new culture
Enrich your life in 2011 by exploring an entirely new culture. You don’t even have to travel far -- Brennan found an endless supply of fascination by investigating the Jersey Shore-esque culture in “The Maggots in the Meathead."  


Begin a new relationship
Has love gotten you down in 2010? Don’t worry, you can be like Booth and move on with a new relationship. He wasn’t getting anywhere with Brennan, but it took only a little trip to Afghanistan for Booth to find a brand-new woman of his dreams.  


Start a family
What could be better than bringing a new baby into the world in 2011? Angela and Hodgins may have taken their time getting married, but they didn’t waste a second before getting started with a family. A new year is the perfect time to start thinking about bringing your own little squint into the world!  


Eat healthier foods
Avoiding unhealthy foods is always a good choice. After all, carrot sticks are better than candy, even when your chocolate bars don’t contain decomposing bodies.  


Learn about history
A superior knowledge of history is always an asset, and it’s never too late to learn new facts. You never know when you, like the Bones characters, might need to call on those facts in order to solve a decades-old, conspiracy-ridden assassination case.  


Move your relationship forward
Angela and Hodgins showed us how a couple could begin the year separated and still find themselves married within months! Just try to avoid tying the knot in jail. That rarely works out as well as it did on Bones.  


Get to church more often
Just try to avoid the one with the burning devil-corpse on the altar.   


Attend your high school reunion
Yes, the horrible people will still be horrible. Yes, you’ve probably turned out the way everyone expected. And no, that kid who used to bully you probably won’t get murdered like on Bones. But it’s a character-building experience anyway.  


Do something for children
No matter how important your work is, 2011 might be a fine time to share your knowledge and experience with the next generation. Brennan may not have felt that children were “rigorous when it comes to empirical inquiry," but that didn’t stop her from sharing science with children on Bunsen Jude the Science Dude


Share your feelings
It’s healthy. And maybe you’ll have better luck than either Booth or Brennan in 2010.
