With artists such as Darin, the Alcazar and the Pernice Brothers are Julgalan winter's most frequent artistic events. Pop solo performances, duets and medleyn succeed each other after Christmas are exhausted. It will be a company party out of the ordinary where appearances are well produced and professional, and where some of Sweden's best artists compete to sparkle the most.
There are a lot of time and preparation behind Julgalan. With several large and well-known artists, it's easy to expect a number of solo performances without any further interaction between the participants. Julgalan is much more than that.
Darin shines strongest
Alcazar, Darin, Pernice Brothers, Broken Door, Velvet, Rasmus Seebach and Mary Montazami are all features names in the Annex invite to Christmas dinner and show. But although it is well known and certainly quite busy artists who volunteer at this year's company party, it is a tight and well produced show, they got together. Of course all his own moment in the spotlight, but in addition to solo performances by both artists' own hits and a number of Las Vegas-inspired performances, the group also together in various configurations and offers a really nice show numbers together.
The evening's brightest star is Darin, who also picked up most of the show. It is he who can drive the most original songs, and it is also he who makes the best. With its clear stage presence and his unique voice is Darin one of Sweden's best artists, and he saves not pull any punches when he beams at Julgalan. Otherwise it is Rasmus Seebach most appreciated by the audience when he kicks off the summer scourge "Natteravn".
Nice, tight and professional
Anyone who visits Julgalan may also see the artists get to know each other better in a number of appearances and medleyn. In particular, it is the girls who turn up in various configurations during the evening. It's nice to see the Alcazar, the girls show what good singers they are - although I would have liked more of Andreas Lundstedt during the show. Show numbers as the artists do together is also the evening's most entertaining, and it saved not pull any punches. The talented dancers of Urban Angels pop up with new outfits and funky choreography, and the artists themselves are not slow to catch on. It's neat, tight and professional.
A big plus is that the room maximized for all dinner guests will have come close to the performers. Borden gets the catwalks, and a podium in the middle of the room is an excellent platform for some of the more sedate performances. But you have to be glued to the glass - both because of the wild show the numbers and the eager staff who are happy to pick away unfinished plates and glasses.
The perfect office party
On the whole, Julgalan the perfect office party, whether you come with his company or if you belong to the minority self-ordering tickets. The food is perhaps not extraordinary, but tell it not be entertained by the show! It is beautiful, glittery and well done, making Julgalan to this year maybe the best Christmas show.
