This error often occurs when improperly designed third-party tools access the VRChat API. Unfortunately, direct support cannot be provided for issues caused by third-party tools or applications.
In the event this was caused by a different network issue please observe the following troubleshooting steps.
We have some solutions that have helped other users in the past. We recommend that you try these options, as they have proven effective for some users:
Try forcing your IPv6 DNS servers or disabling IPv6 using the instructions here.
Download and install Cloudflare's free Warp tool. Many users have reported more stable connections using this utility.
Disable or Uninstall the Killer Intelligence Center and/or Killer Control Center applications, if they're installed. We've seen some users have issues with these utilities.
If you are still experiencing problems, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:
Make sure your internet connection is stable. If using Wi-Fi, consider switching to an ethernet cable.
Please ensure that you have the latest drivers available for your network adapter.
Disable any firewalls on your computer.
Disable any proxy settings by following these steps.
Configure your connection to use a different public DNS server using these instructions.
Renew your IP address by turning your router on and off or following these steps.
Additionally, ensure that VRChat is not being filtered by any software or hardware DNS filters.
VPNs sometimes apply DNS filtering, and we've noticed issues when users have DNS filtering devices on their network (such as a Pi-Hole).
If these steps don't work, replicate the problem and send us your latest output log.
To find your output logs, navigate to C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\VRChat\vrchat\ or copy and paste %AppData%/../LocalLow/VRChat/vrchat/ into your Windows Explorer address bar. These logs are saved as text files with names like output_log_03-53-10.txt. To send them
