先说Uprising吧。1984中写的种种，都在歌词中有所体现。比如说有“drugs that keep us all dumbed down”，“mind control”..
还有这一段
“Another promise, another scene
Another, packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed
And all the, Green belts wrapped around our minds
And endless, red tape to keep the truth confined ”
就是说没有思想自由，胡乱涂改历史，乱编造生产数据....
只不过书的结局不像uprising中的"we will be victorious."
最终还是一个悲剧。

指的是就算听起来很棒的革命，最后结果也还是一样。统治者有了权力，不管挂什么名头都一样
And these wars, they can't be won
And do you want them, to go on and on and on?
Why split these states?
When there can be only one!
书中三个国不停的在打仗，但换来换去结盟，还是三国鼎立，分不出胜负。
Must we do as we're told?
主人公非常地叛逆..
You and me fall in line
To be punished for unproven crimes
两个人被抓去受尽折磨，屈打成招，承认了一对莫须有的罪名
And we know that there's no one we can trust
他们原来信赖的房东与视为知己的人，结果都是思想**。还有邻居家的小孩举报了父母。
Our ancient heroes, they are turning to dust
历史已经不存在。
