Sonnet Dedicated to Night
                                  I
A              Eternal moment, enchanted parting of dusk and night
B              Remaining heat, with refreshing air tacitly combined
A              Sweetness, the veil of nightertale in moonlight
B              Shone on Diana’s pale face, fading for the everslept
C              Garland, woven by spirits slumbering in petal,
D              to the crowning of the nymph from velvet sky
C              from whom thou never hide, whether holy or fatal
D              but disclose the interior fantasy you vainly deny
E              wanderers at wilderness, worshippers of the darkness
F              Why do thou sigh, for the endless effort in daytime,
E              or burning in fleeting fancies unfulfilled eagerness
F              even with sleep thou sought no comforting rhyme
G              only in the soothing caress of unspoken aureole
G              thou shall lie in peace with the comprehensive soul


II
A             He had not spent his years in blooming youth
B             with a companion always aside, smiling faithfully
A             When he was old and gray, reflecting his aged path,
B             He searched not any memories, joyful or lovely,
C             Nay, even not past ordeal evoking melancholy
D             Deep dark into the night, ardently he waited for
C             the herald sent by Luna, damsel dwelt in holy
D             the one who led him into invisible land afore
E             Ancient myth, intriguing tales hinted in nocturne
F             they all would be told, with a gleaming voice
E             the voice had its magic, while dreamers all surrender
F             like the melody of the piper, no delay or choice
G             “For I would yield to the music of the night
G             Where no harsh daylight approach me tight.”

B             Imperative authority of darkness, her infernal majesty  
A             With forceful command and beguiling tricks at sight
B             She ordered his submission for sempiternal honesty   
C             Her rigid face with tormented features, revealing    
D             an astounding beauty of grotesque persuasion
C             Enthralled by temporary perplexity, hesitating
D             as he was, overwhelmed. Yet, be still, contradiction
E             soon ended up a resolution, with his eyes glistening  
F             “Lady of the underworld,” he humbly declined, “I
E             would follow you to the end of the horizon, seeking
F             the last ray of the sun blissfully setting from arch high
G             Yet, not could I, for I had dedicated myself to the damsel
G             your twin sister, the other side of your sad eyes of hazel.”
