If you people hold that the Emperor is not Balduran (i.e. that they are two living creatures, in which Balduran is perished and the Emperor is a newborn mind flayer who has stolen Balduran’s full or partial memories), then you would have to admit that Balduran did not kill Ansur, but rather, a mind flayer named the Emperor killed Ansur. Ansur was Balduran’s loyal friend, not the Emperor's. So the Emperor merely killed a stranger, not a friend; not to mention the fact that Ansur was the one who first committed the murder, in which case the Emperor's reaction is considered self-defence and therefore morally justified. So how could you take "killing Ansur" as a stain on the Emperor??
If you were to use "killing Ansur” as an attack on the Emperor, then you would have to admit that the Emperor is Balduran.
But for apparent reasons you people refuse to recognise that the Emperor IS Balduran.

Simple, whoever claime Emperor is not Balduran is probably not the same people claim he is sinned because he killed Ansur.
Having killed Ansur is one of many reasons why people dislike the Emperor.
Being Balduran does not make the Emperor more trustworthy than a regular mindflayer. Quite the opposite, actually, as from lores of previous games we can learn that in life Balduran is a pirate and a raider, and have had betrayed his own crew to survive.
