Bruno Senna admits his Hispania's team financial difficulties have been hitting the Spanish squad's plans to develop its car.
The team made its Formula 1 debut this year without any testing whatsoever after months of uncertainty over its future, which was finally secured by Spanish businessman Jose Ramon Carabante.
The lack of resources, however, has meant that HRT has hardly been able to develop its car during the season.
Senna also said that, as of now, the team cannot guarantee its presence on the grid next year.
"The financial difficulties hinder the development of the car," Senna told Brazilian media during a news conference on Monday.
"We are able to keep the team running through the end of the year. But we can not be like Red Bull, which always has little or big things in the car every weekend.
"Few teams are guaranteed to be on the grid next year. Formula 1 is not easy. The Hispania and other teams can not give that guarantee."
Senna admitted the team's situation changed from when he signed his contract until the start of the season.
"We knew it would be a risk to enter into a new team," he said. "But essentially it changed between when we signed and the start of the season. We made a firm contract and we could not predict what lied ahead."
He added: "We had a big learning process. We started the year without testing. We have been working and making the most of the car. We had small updates to the car like the fuel tank, electronics... Every weekend we're getting new things [from the car]."
The Brazilian said the team was in talks with Toyota over the use of parts from its F1 car, but conceded the situation was also complicated.
"There are talks with Toyota, but it's not easy to know how things stand. Hispania needs FIA homologation to use those parts. Things are a bit more complicated."

巴西人表示，车队正在与丰田就使用后者的F1赛车部件进行接触，但他承认情况很复杂。
“我们正在和丰田接触，但很难说情况会怎样。HRT要使用这些部件需要FIA的批准。事情有点复杂。”

Bruno Senna is confident he will not fall off the Formula One grid after asingle season.
Amid a difficult debut campaign with the struggling Spanish team HRT, theBrazilian 26-year-old sat out Silverstone last month but is confident hewill now keep his seat until the end of the season.
Whilst visiting his native Sao Paulo during F1's August break, Senna toldthe local press that he is also confident about 2011.
But when asked if he has a plan B, he joked: "Selling coconuts on thebeach!
"In fact, I hope the chance that I will continue (in F1) is 100 per cent.But unfortunately, it is impossible to say.
"Before the 2009 season, I seemed to have a good chance to race withHonda, but of course it ended up not happening.
"In F1, foresight doesn't work -- the only thing that does is a signedcontract. There are always talks but nothing official.
"We will have to see," added Senna.
He is unable to predict the identity of his employer for 2011.
"Few teams have guarantees that they will be on the grid," said Senna."It is not an easy time in F1.
"It's not so simple, but they (HRT's bosses) are making plans. The bestthing would be if I could simply choose the team, because my goal is tostay for many years, not just now.
"But I do have to work to get assurances that I'll be in F1 next year,either with this team or with another ... it will depend on many things."
Senna acknowledged that financial limitations have held HRT back in 2010,but says the team has the budget to finish the season.
"Fortunately we made a good contract," he said, probably referring to hisformer teammate Karun Chandhok, whose season has been interrupted by thereportedly greater financial contribution of Sakon Yamamoto.
"It's hard to predict, but with the experience we have during these yearsof racing, we made a contract that bypasses the complicated situations thatcan arise.
"But this is not a disappointment," he insisted. "I have to accept thedifficulties. It is a year of opportunity. It is harder and harder to comein (to F1).
"As much as I do not have a competitive car, I'm here," added Senna."It has been a great learning experience."

Hispania Racing team driver Bruno Senna expects to continue racing in Formula 1 in 2011. The Brazilian is currently in his first season in the sport and admits there is an opportunity to continue at HRT but there are also options at other teams.
Speaking about the advantages of entering Formula 1 with a small team Bruno Senna told the gathered media at a Brazilian press conference: “I am learning to work with a small number of people. When you have less people working around you you learn to participate a lot more within the team. When there's a group of 500 people around you there are just a couple of people you know well.”
After half a year of Formula 1 Bruno Senna is hoping to extend his career with a number of years in the sport. He is confident to continue his career at the highest level. “There's a good chance to stay here at HRT, but there are also some other options that we are currently looking at.”
Bruno Senna furthermore admitted that there's nothing but Formula 1 on his radar for 2011. “I rather sell coconuts on the beach,” Senna joked when asked if he would mind race in a different series other than Formula 1.

SAN FRANCISCO - At least one good thing about running a small team in Formula 1. "I'm learning more in this debut year by working with a much smaller number of people. When you have less people on your side, you force yourself to participate more.
