And I start seeing them coming in withthese hooks.
The hook removal started like anythingwould start when you love someone - I just wanted to make their lives a littlebit better - to relieve their pain.

I would open her jaw and see the hook.
And at a certain moment I decided tobasically stick my hand in... and I pulled the hook out.
But then as soon as she came back, sheallowed me to pet her.

was very much a light bulb moment for me.

I wanted to pet a shark from the firstmoment I saw one.
It took a year and some time before thetransition between being a diver
and then it being a profession
and then working with sharks

What I've developed is an appreciation fortheir vulnerability.
I've dedicated a lifetime, 26 years, and
25 of those have been spent in the waterwith sharks.
