要使用傅立叶变换有个基本前提，那就是得知道什么是傅立叶变换：
FourierTransform[D[u[x, t], x, x], x, w]
然后，光靠这个还不足以（简洁地）求解2楼所说的问题，具体请参考SE帖子《Workarounds for a possible bug in the linearity of FourierTransformAsk Question》（编号56237）。此外SE帖子《Numerically solve the initial value problem for the 1-D wave equation》（编号128516）里还含了一个用傅立叶变换求符号解的实例，可以参看。
顺便——虽然LZ还在用版本7，所以用不了这个——2楼的问题用 BilateralLaplaceTransform 也是个比较好的选择，具体可参SE帖子《Bilateral Laplace Transform》（编号47732）。
