Ladies and gentlemen , good morning/afternoon! It’s an honor to stand here and give you a speech. Today my topic is Go With EXPO Together.
At first, I want to say something about the history of EXPO. As we know, EXPO is a great meeting with a history of over 150 years,it’s regarded as the Olympics in scientific and cultural community.The first Expo was hold in the Crystal Palace in London in 1851. Ever since then, the purpose of Expo is encourging people to create and invente,so visitors are able to explore the world outside of their everyday experience. Actually,Expo has inspired millions of people in the world.
On December3, 2002, Shanghai was chosen for EXPO 2010.It’s not only an exciting news for people in Shanghai, but also for all Chinese!Since then, great changes have taken place in Shanghai.EXPO pushs forward the city development and help bring about a better urban living environment, it just like the theme: better city, better life.
Now more and more people throughout the world are focusing their attention on Shanghai.As a senior school student ,it’s our duty to learn to be a gentle person with good manners from now on. Besides,we should try to practice English as much as possible in order to communicate with foreigners fluently when we visit EXPO,because everyone is the host of Shanghai EXPO.Let’s go with EXPO together!
