挪威在90年代初期的时候有多少人知道那里有Black Metal，时至今日越来越多的人开始关注那里，但挪威的“著名”乐队们却在纷纷讨好听众，到底是乐迷左右了乐队，还是乐队控制了乐迷，只有每一个人自己 知道。Urgehal 是一支成立于1992年，但今天还依然“地下”的挪威乐队，音色粗砺，混乱的，传统黑暗金属乐队。专辑创作于1995年，录制于1996年，发表于 1997年，参与录制专辑的依然是标准3人阵容（好象优秀的黑暗金属乐队都是3个人，人越多越糟糕）。音乐一听是非常典型的老挪威式创作法，典型的 Darkthrone式鼓点儿，以及暗藏其中的吉他旋律，吉他以及各种音色在音乐中的表现力和比例都是很老套的那种。
