Describe a movie that you like
Well,the movie that I want to talk about is Interstellar. Which could be the best movie I've ever watched.
The director of this movie is Christopher Nolan,I guess you have heard him before because he had directed a lot of great movies such as Inception ,and Tenet.The first time I watched this movie could be several years ago.The story began with an interview,people are talking about the environment problems at that time.Soil erosion could be the biggest one ,it caused food shortage and some extreme weather. Experts from NASA predict that the earth will not be a suitable place for human to live in a decade. A former pilot called Cooper found some phenomenon related to gravity disorder in his house.Those clues lead him to take an adventure in the universe with a team from NASA in order to find a suitable planet for future generations.
Cooper traveled through a wormhole which was placed near Mars and reach another galaxy which might be thousand light years from solar system.And he found the secrets of black hole and send it back to the earth.He finally saved human with his effort and his love to his daughter.Thats love is what we called the power beyond our 3-dimension world that we could have a connect with someone we loved in a totally different space-time.
I was deeply impressed by this movie,not only it's hear-warming story line but also the background music,which was made from Hans Zimmer,a famous orchestra musician.Although it is a science fiction movie,its science principle are all based on the theory from several Nobel Prize winners and I think this part also makes this movie more educational.Which helped me broaden my horizon and raised my interest in astronomy study.

Describe a time when your computer broke down
Let me tell you about an incident that I had just about a year ago when the outbreak of Covid19 hit our city.
I remember it was during the spring festival our government announced that we would have a complete lockdown.You know,they had to do so to control the spread of virus.
Well,during that period,I was using my laptop to write up my paper based on a field study of economics in my group.So basically there was no need for me to go out,and all I need to do was concentrating on my paper.You know,things went smoothly until I was writing my conclusion part.My computer died just after I finished writing my statistics.I tried to restart it but I couldn't make it operate.
I had to called my friend Jason for help.I couldn't describe my computer's problem clearly through the phone so I took a lot photos and sent to him.He told me that the problem on my computer was that the updated windows system couldn't match the statistic software,so the whole system broke down.Then he helped me to reset the system and finally my computer woke up with his help.
I felt grateful for his help.You know,he was a life savior for me.With him I wouldn't be able to hand in my work on time.

Describe an art or craft activity that you had
I'd like to share with you an experience I had while I was taking a course about technology at school.
We were introduced by our teacher about the notion of virtual reality and thus guided by him to make a pair of VR glasses that allow us to play VR games.
Initially,I thought this might be a crazy idea as we didn't make any technology stuffs or some advanced materials before.However,things were not so complicated as we thought.All we need was a set of cardboard.To make the process easier,we ordered a set of semi-finished products with an easy understand manual.It took us about an hour to get whole the thing done.
It really resembled the electronic VR glasses that we see on the advertisement except that our was just a cupboard box with a rubber band.It was easy to use.All we need to do was insert our smartphone into the front box.Then we could enjoy the VR images simply by putting them on our heads.
Well,I felt that this activity was quite rewarding.You know,we were not only able to have fun with this latest technology but also understood how it actually functioned.This activity is educational and helped me broaden my horizon..

Describe a company where you live that employs a lot of people
The company I am going to tell you is an institution called "Forbes" that focuses on providing after-school courses to high school students.You know,due to the fierce competition in the college entrance exam,attending such classes has become a norm.Parents and their children hope to seize every opportunity to gain an advantage over their counterparts,which breeds a huge market.
The company has its branches all over the country,employs hundreds of people and has set up complementary departments to conduct business.There are the sales person who do everything they could to persuade the parents to buy courses this company offers,their children will be transferred to the experienced teacher who would tutor their homework.There are also some supervisors,responsible for communicating with the parents to make sure they are satisfied with the service.
I knew this company mainly because of my grandfather.He is an English teacher who used to work in a middle school.After retirement,he found himself quite boring that during the time and really want to find something to do .So he joined this company as a teacher and make some money.
My feeling towards this company is complex.On the one hand,I wish it could keep expanding its market share because my grandfather worked there.On the other hand,I think it exploit the little spare time of high school students,turning them into study machines.From this perspective,I hope it will disappear in the future.

Describe an a argument two of your friends had
I'd like to share with you an argument my friends had last year when we were having a gathering meal at a hot-pot restaurant.
The argument was quite special in some way.It's about whether human evolved through a long history on earth or our ancestors were brought here by some aliens. You know,both of my friends were quite interest into the origin of human being.so they somehow picked up this topic.
They were smart and have good reasoning and logic but when it came to the topic,it seems that neither of them could convince each other easily.You know,they had totally different academic background.One studied history and another concentrated on biochemistry.They actually used up all the expertise they had as rebuttals.
They kept presenting reasoning and arguments until the restaurant was closed.It seemed that the argument of the topic could not end here.I think we might never know until someday our civilization evolves at a higher level that can tackle all the unknown things of universe.
But anyway,I was very glad that I could listen to them arguing.I think we don't just live to eat,but we also live to think,and that makes our lives more meaningful.
