@jbhoneebee Yes she was good. Emilie was wonderful too. The structure of the film - Nicholas Sparks meets Steven Soderbergh - also works.

From one of my film buds regarding Remember Me (email to me)...: "I will go into details a bit later, but, quickly - Was it perfect? No, but damned good. I would put it up there with one of the best films I have seen in 2010 so far. That puts it in the same category as movies like Shutter Island. It is the kind of movie that changes you. Makes you want to reconnect with others...loved ones. I called my mom right afterwards. I was moved and not much moves me. Pattinson was very very good."

Finally home and can talk about Remember Me starring Robert Pattinson,Emilie de Ravin,Pierce Brosnan and Chris Cooper. First off let me start off by saying that I really enjoyed Robert Pattinson's portrayal of Tyler. I am convinced that Rob can have chemistry with a dictionary, the relationships in the movie are so believable and as an audience you invest in them. For those that base his acting skills solely on Twilight are going to be pleasantly surprised. I also have to commend Emilie de Ravin on a great performance as Ally. I am not familiar with Emilie as an actor but I really enjoyed her and Rob together, they really played off each other well. Also loved her scenes with Chris Cooper but hey I am biased and love Chris Cooper so that comes as no surprise. While I am pointing out Chris Cooper's scenes, people are going to love the interaction between Rob/Pierce and Rob/Ruby (Ruby plays his little sister). It's interesting to see the dynamic between Rob/Pierce's rocky father and son relationship and switch to the caring relationship between Rob/Ruby's brother and sister relationship.
Basically the story is an easy one to get into. It flows extremely well from beginning to the shocking end and yes if you are emotional bring the Kleenex, you'll need it. I recommend people that doubt Rob's ability as an actor to go and see this film he really did a great job. I'd love to say more but I really don't want to ruin this film for people because it really is a good film with a wonderful story.

Saw a screening to Remember Me and believe it or not, Rob Pattinson can actually act. This movie will take your breath away. Do yourself a favor, don't read reviews, spoilers, or anything to this film. Don't even think Rob Pattinson is in Twilight. Trust me this movie is all kinds of great and the best film I've seen in a long time.

The acting is superb. Trust me. I saw it last night.
I just saw the final movie last night. So what I am about to say is not based on what people saw in test screenings. A lot has changed.
1.You DO get signposts for where and when you are in the setting at the beginning of the movie.
2.The ending is part of the story. It's part of the setting. It is NOT a plot device, cheap or otherwise.It is powerful. You are part of the moment because we were ALL part of that moment. Does that make sense? This is why it was used. To ensure that we are all in the exact same place so that the overall message of the film can reach us.
That is all I can say right now. Once everyone gets the chance to see the film, we'll talk a lot more, I suspect.
