"Adding to the leak but posting for a friend. He tried like 6 VPN IPs and they were all banned so I'm posting for him. Yes laugh it up, Bethesda playtest. More like one of those playtest farms where gamers want to earn money playing games but are made to play early alpha builds for nine 花Qing hours with only a cup of water for stimulation.
Here are things I can confirm outright for the record: One. FPS and physics are untied. No physics kabooms. Game engine doesn't tick to GPU output. It's over. No more >[physics bad] memes fellas.
Two. Extensive options menu on PC. Some things that used to be .ini files only are now just sliders. FOV slider is in the game even in old builds.
Three. Performs great. Looks better than Fallout 76 but performs better than Skyrim SE.
Four. Better physics. Not sure why people cry about physics all the time anyway. Halo uses a more basic version of the same physics (Havok) with a much heavier focus on physics too, yet not a peep from angry gamers. Anyway my feelings aside, physics are nicer. Still Havok I think, but more physics iterations and as I said, no engine speed bug.
Now for things only known second hand, these are leaks but I'm relying on my friend bragging about what he got to see and do. One. Yes there's aliens. They have their own ships.
Two. Character customisation is great, but apparently human only. This is because the game revolves around you being a human explorer. Which leads me to:
Three. The story of the game is you're a human testing out a new warp drive tech. You are not the only human, just one of a young race. Like Mass Effect.
I think OP's images are real based on what I know. But they look like the 2018 build. How the 花Q are there screenshots of the 2018 build. Bethesda didn't have anyone third party look at it for months after that. Where the 花Q even.
My buddy playtested in early 2020. He barely hears from Bethesda now: they're dealing with Covid by going god damn catatonic."
