Born August 7, 1973, Piper is the middle child. Upon Prue's death,she assumes the role as the eldest. Her powers include the ability tofreeze time, temporarily suspending objects, enemies and movement. Atfirst, her powers were limited to the room or area she was currentlyin, but as the series progressed, her mastery over the power grew tomuch higher levels, allowing her to freeze and unfreeze specific partsof a person's body and on a much larger scale. Just as Piper was unableto freeze other good witches at first, by the end of the series she hadgained the ability to do so, using her freezing power to stop Billie.Later, Piper's power grew to allow her to blow up objects at will(through molecular combustion) by rapidly speeding up the movement ofatoms instead of slowing them to a stop, causing their molecular bondsto separate from one another, usually killing low level demons in oneblast and often creating an accompanying fiery explosion. Althoughinitially afraid to use this new and highly destructive power for fearof hurting someone, she eventually becomes skilled enough in the use ofher new power to attack and injure enemies without making them explodeif she chose, or to cause only a small break in an object's structuralintegrity, causing it to fall apart or crack without being completelycombusted. Piper is the most concerned with having a normal life of thethree, and always has reservations about her life as a Charmed One.When she becomes a Charmed One, she is quiet and reserved, often havingto mediate between Prue and Phoebe. As the show progresses, she gains astronger persona and takes more authority after Prue dies. Sheeventually becomes the mother of two sons Wyatt and Chris, with herhusband Leo Wyatt, and goes to great lengths to protect her children,as Wyatt is believed to be the chosen child and many demons, warlocksand witches are after him. In the series finale, the final montageshows her with a granddaughter.[14]Her love of food steers her to a culinary career, which leads her to

open her own club, and as revealed in the last episode, her ownrestaurant. She is the best potion-maker among the Charmed Ones, anoutgrowth of her abilities as a cook. Throughout the series (4-8) Piperis shown to be the most powerful charmed one and easily one of the mostpowerful witches in general. Holly Marie Combs, portraying Piper, isthe only cast member who appears in every episode of Charmed, includingthe original unaired pilot.
Phoebe Halliwell – (Alyssa Milano) (Seasons 1-8) 178 episodes
Phoebe, born November 2, 1975 is the baby of the family and is aspontaneous, free-spirited young woman. She was born with the power of premonition, which enabled her to see into the pastas well as the future, usually locating a demon in need of vanquishingor an innocent in need of saving. Her powers often served as thecatalyst for that episode's mission. Her premonitions can usually onlybe accessed by making physical contact with an item or person that issomehow linked to the vision she will have, once showing her Prue indanger of drowning after making contact with a spilled bottle of water.Later, this ability allows her to project herself into the future andthe past, giving her much more in depth looks of what is to come orwhat was. After long desiring for her powers to evolve into an "activepower" (unlike the involuntary nature of her premonitions) Phoebe latergains the power of levitation, which she often combines with her proficientmartial arts skills. Later, Phoebe gains the power of empathy,which allows her not only to feel the emotions of others, but alsoallows her to copy the powers of someone attacking her (being thatpowers in the Charmed universe are directly linked to the emotions ofthose using them). Later Phoebe loses access to all of her activepowers (keeping only her ability to cast Power of Three spells and makepotions) due to misusing her abilities for personal gain (forcingpremonitions to occur so that she could fight demons on her ownschedule). She later regains the power of premonition, but herlevitation ability is never seen used again. She is a romantic, andlater becomes a successful columnist and author. Early on, she oftenhad a turbulent relationship with her older sister, Prue; later shemediates between Piper and Paige. Her longest relationships are with Cole Turner for over 2 years and had a son with him but The Seer steals him (to her own demise), and with Coop.In 2006, the Angel of Destiny marries Halliwell and Coop, as seen inthe series finale, and they eventually have three daughters. Shecontinues to work at the Bay Mirror and writes a book on finding love.When the property was green lighted to go to series, actress Rom wasunavailable. Producer Aaron Spelling called Milano, fresh off her short-term guest appearance on Melrose Placeto fill the role. Major portions of the first episode were re-shot,some scenes rewritten and new scenes added to create a full one-hourdebut episode titled "Something Wicca This Way Comes". Phoebe has beentold by some demons (like the Source) that she was the weakest Charmed
