Phanes (Ancient Greek). One of the Orphic triad - Phanes, Chaos and Chronos. It was also the trinity of the Western people in the pre-Christian period.

Chronos (Greek) Time; in Orphism, Phanes (or Eros), Chaos, and Chronos constitute a triad which, emanating from the Unknowable, reproduces the worlds; essentially one, it acts on the plane of maya as three distinct things. Chronos was identified with the titan Kronos, who dethroned Ouranos and succeeded him as ruler of the world, himself being succeeded by Zeus. Kronos devours his own children, which is symbolic of time which both brings forth and destroys events.

还有一段PHANES was the PROTOGENOS (primeval god) of procreation and the generation of life, the driving force behind reproduction in the universe. He/she was hatched from the world egg when it was split into its constituent parts by the ancient gods Khronos (Time) and Ananke (Inevitability). Phanes in the Orphic tradition was the first king of the universe. He passed the sceptre of kingship on to Nyx (Night), his only child, who in turn handed it over to her son Ouranos (Heaven). From him it was first seized by Kronos (Time), and then by Zeus, the ultimate ruler of the cosmos.Zeus devoured Phanes in order to assume his primal power over the cosmos and redistribute its portions amongst a new generation of gods - the Olympians.The Orphics equated Phanes with the Elder Eros (Sexual Desire) of Hesiod's Theogony, who is there described as emerging at the beginning of time alongside Khaos (Air) and Gaia (Earth).The Orphics also merged the primeval beings of Thesis (or Phusis), Khronos and Ananke, which belonged to certain rival Theogonies, with their Protogenos Phanes. Phanes also appears in myth in the guise of Metis (that is Thetis, Thesis, Creation), the goddess devoured by Zeus, and Tethys the nurse of all. However these two divinities were developed by the poets, becoming largely divorced from the original concept of the creator god.Phanes appeared as a beautiful golden winged twy-formed deity, with the body of both a man and a woman. He was by nature incorporeal and invisible even to the eyes of the gods.

Orphic指希腊三大宗教之一的奥斐斯教派。这里面说的都是奥斐斯教派的东西。奥菲斯的东西流传下来的比较少，而且说法也不太一样。一说宇宙最开始是黑夜尼克斯（Nyx）和以太神（Aether）。以太就是后来物理学的以太，古希腊人认为天上的东西日月星辰与地上不同，不是由地上的四大元素组成，而是第五元素——以太组成。Aether在《神谱》里面是尼克斯(Nyx)的儿子，光明神埃忒耳。Nyx则是浑沌卡俄斯的女儿。奥斐斯的说法，以太和尼克斯结合。尼克斯生了一个银的蛋，名为世界蛋。然后诞生了爱神Eros，地母Gaia，地狱Tartaros，浑沌Chaos。然后的就和奥林巴斯教差不多了。2楼是说以太和卡俄斯生了这个世界蛋，然后第三个Logos Phanes从中诞生。第一第二Logos是以太和卡俄斯。第四Logos是宙斯。然后5楼给出另一种说法，第一Logos是Phanes，第二是乌拉诺斯和盖亚，第二规则还有个后期，是克洛诺斯和瑞亚，第三是宙斯。说不清楚“Logos”在这里到底有什么特殊的意思，可能是自然法则的意思。7楼说Phanes是宇宙第一个统治者，Nyx是Phanes的唯一的孩子，后来Phanes把权力交给她。Nyx又交给她的儿子乌拉诺斯，然后就是我们知道的说法了。几楼的资料说法都有点不太统一，乱的一坨。我知道的还有一点，Phanes名字的意思是闪光的神，以宇宙光的形式诞生，肩上是月亮，头上顶着太阳，胸前有三个动物的头，狮子，山羊和公牛，有时候和Metis混淆。Metis意为智慧，在神谱里面变成雅典娜的母亲了。这上面也提到了Phanes和黄道带中的动物符号有关，白羊座的羊，金牛座的牛，狮子座的狮子，另一个是龙或者蛇，没说是什么座的。
