dear sirs
we refer to the consignment of 1500KG of palm oil which arrived here on 18 may under order no.333.
there is considerable congestion in the port at the time of writing that is delaying unloading.the procedure for inspecting and testing the cargo will take some time.it will therefore be impossible for us to lodge a claim,if any,within the contracted period.
in the circumstances ,we would like to ask you for an extension to the time limit for claims to 1 june.
we will let you have the results of the inspection as soon as they come to hand.
we will be most grateful foe your cooperation in this matter.
