Kris Allen Dumps Daughtry & Mat Kearney Songs From Album 
According to MTV News, American Idol Season 8 winner Kris Allen has decided to cut some songs from his album and it may have cost him a hit record. He apparently cut songs co-written by Chris Daughtry and Mat Kearney. However, earlier tonight (Oct. 27) Daughtry posted on his Twitter account that his song Send Me All Your Angels, which was written with Allen, is included as a bonus track on the Walmart edition of the CD. If the track sounds anything like the material Daughtry has been cranking out since leaving American Idol, Allen fans are in for a treat.
As for Kearney, he had previously told MTV News that the tune he was working on with Allen would rough up the squeaky-clean Conway, Arkansas, native's image. "It's driving ... it has some edge to it," Kearney said earlier this month. "That may make it so they don't want to [include it on the album]."
Led by single Live Like We're Dying, Kris' self-titled album will be released on Nov. 17. But, fans will had a chance to hear a portion of the album at the Dolphin's Tailgate Stage on Oct. 25. Allen's rendition of Kanye West's "Heartless" is offered as a bonus track and there's also the Chris Daughtry penned Walmart extra track as well.
