Newcastle loses Luque for two months Newcastle, England (Sports Network) - Newcastle United midfielder Alberto Luque will miss two months due to a ruptured hamstring obtained in Saturday's Premiership draw with Fulham. The Spaniard was taken off the field on a stretcher 10 minutes before halftime. The injury occurred when Luque attempted to save the ball from heading over the sideline. The 27-year-old Luque joined Newcastle this summer from Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna. The attacking player scored 11 goals in 37 league games for Deportivo last season. Luque is now on the sidelines for at least two months after appearing in just two Premier League games for struggling Newcastle. Graeme Souness' side is currently second from the bottom of the league table with just two points from five matches. Newcastle has only produced one goal in the five games.
