第一天Nov 6,他到上海精彩浓缩:此时无声胜有声(。。。。。大概就是,我跑上去跟他说 So good to have you here again. 然后他说 thank you之类的,然后主动伸出手来要和我握手。。。MY GOD。。。

Nov. 11I went to the court again today. This time, I got in with such ease, with my pass I got yesterday. First I was looking for Roger’s driver to see if they were already there. I didn’t find him but his colleague told me he was there. I sighed with relief. And Roger was not on court yet. Perfect time again.Just a few minutes later, he appeared. Every time he appeared, there would be some stirring wave. Everyone seemed in action around. The good thing was, there were not many people there. Soon he picked up his racquet and began hitting balls with Davydenko. His driver said, last night, he had no event to attend, was only sitting there drinking coffee, didn’t go out for any fun and it was also raining. He said, with the matches approaching, he would go out less and less. Such a disciplined guy.He was out there in very good mood, showing smiles once in a while, which made me really happy. At one point, he hit a bad ball, and suddenly he called out loud, you idiot I went down from the seats up several floors behind the baseline where I watched him hit balls a bit. I intended to sit just where I sat yesterday, to watch him closely again. Suddenly I found his trainer Pavel Kovac sitting in one of the boxes. Immediately I decided to talk with him a bit. Actually it turned out we talked quite a lot.First I asked him how was Roger’s health condition now, which was the most important thing for me and for all his fans. Pavel said, it’s really getting better and better every day. I asked, is there any possibility that he would withdraw after just playing one match? He said, no, and added, hopefully. I said, all his fans don’t want him to push anything. I asked him to tell Roger not to play before fully recovered. Then I asked, what do you think of his first match? Nalbandian was a tough opponent, given Roger’s health condition now. Can you imagine what he said…no problem, Roger will win, and then he added, for sure. I was so happy to hear that from the mouth of his trainer, which indicated that he was really OK with his injury. And I thanked him for what he did to help Roger.Actually Pavel was surprised how could I know him. I said, how can I not! You are always sitting in his stands, along with a good friend of his, called sth like Reito. He said, yes, Reito, a very good friend of Roger’s, actually his best friend. I said, maybe you extend my regards to Reito also, cuz he seems always bring good luck to Roger He said his English was not so good. I asked him what language you use to communicate with Roger. He said, English. I laughed. He said, no it’s not a joke, and he laughed big too. I kept laughing, he added, no, it’s not a joke. I said, so next time when I get the chance to talk to you, better improve your English hahaha I said, Roger is a nice guy. He said yes, he is. I said, his tennis is really a piece of art, so special, so unique to watch, such a beauty and I wouldn’t like to watch anyone else’s after watching him play. He couldn’t agree any more. And he said, he is very good for tennis. He set a model for all the young players, cuz they all want to play like Roger. That would promote tennis as a sport. Then I said, I don’t know if Nadal was No1 in the world, who would watch tennis any more (sorry to Nadal fans). Then he laughed and said, he hopes not, even if he claimed No1, the problem is how long. He said, this RG semi final, Roger played just so so so bad, everything was not working for him and he didn’t know why. I said, yes, I watched most of Roger’s matches in 2003 till now, this was one of the worst. He said, yes, so bad. He kept saying, Roger’s game is natural, Nadal’s is physical, and he said he couldn’t believe in Nadal’s muscles. Then I said, pls tell Roger to kick Nadal’s ass. He laughed out so big, and said, I hope so too. hahaha

I said, this year before Wimbledon, Roger had so much pressure. The Australian Open must hurt much for him. I said, it was just heart broken for me. He said, the match ball for Roger, Safin just got so so so lucky. And the problem was Roger’s feet. He said, after the match Roger just couldn’t move any more. He even posed for me how Roger was like after that match, by putting his left leg straight and flat on the bench, saying, see, Roger was like this… Omg…Roger We talked really a lot, mainly about Roger (many things regarding him and I just chose the most important info) and also other things, like he asked me where did I learn my English, have I ever been to US, blah blah blah he said he didn’t like Manhattan at all, Shanghai is such a good place. And he kept saying it was the greatest court in the world. I asked him if he had toured around Shanghai yet. He said, no, no time, still was plagued by jet lag. I asked him how were Roger and Mirka going along these two days….I read Mirka was not too happy. He said, Mirka was just tired, also cuz of the jet lag……He is really a nice guy, just like Roger. Finally Roger finished practice, and they had to go. I said, so nice talking to you. Byebye. Then Roger came out of the court, signing a bit for the people around and left very quickly, more quickly than yesterday. I walked after the footprints of his driver, saw no chance to do anything, then I turned back. I bumped into Tony, I said good luck Tony. And I bumped into Pavel again, I said, good luck and best wishes. Then there came Nalbandian, Gaudio, Puerta…and later on Ljubicic….. I said to gaston, good luck here, beautiful backhand, to puerta, great performance in RG, to Ljubicic, beautiful tennis and good luck…Then I left. Tomorrow will be another fantastic day

Can you all imagine how it was feeling to sit with him around one table, watching him, listening to him speaking, and even asking questions myself...I think it’s really hard to imagine unless you really do it yourself. He looked so damn gracious and gorgeous and awesome. I felt so much blessed to be just watching him, listening to him, so close again, after Wednesday. Some questions for him:About his injury. It was asked the most. He said, at first things were not looking good at all. Two and a half weeks ago, the improvement was so slow. He was like making two steps ahead and then one step back. His doctor told him, if he wanted to play TMC, maybe he could make it. He told the doctor to give it a shot cuz TMC meant much to him. After that the improvement was quick. Someone asked if there was any risk playing this TMC, he said, no risk, he was off again after this. He said, actually this year he was much more fresh after US Open and Bangkok than last year, but... Someone asked him when he got injured. He said, in the practice, when he was hitting a forehand, he fell off, the ankle should be there, but it was actually else where. haha very funny description. Someone asked him if he was confident to really win the tournament here. He said, he was not thinking of winning it yet. He said, the practice session today went very well, but the match was different. He said he was very concerned about tomorrow his first match, have to see how it goes. Then may be thinking of defending it or not. He also said he didn’t have too high expectations of this tournament. So tomorrow’s first match is really very important to Roger. He was asked about whether this year or last year was better for him. He said, if he wins this TMC, then he will give it this year. He was asked about which one means the most to him of the only three losses this year. He said, Australian Open. He was hurt not only his feet, but also mentally. Poor Roger…As for French Open, he admitted he played bad that day, but the whole tournament was good for him still. He was asked about Nadal. He said, he liked him, a good guy on and off court. He hoped they can build up a rivalry. When asked about his chance against him if they get to play here (actually by me) he said very surely, I’m the favorite. He was asked about whether he had watched his US Open final yet. He said, actually not, just the highlights. He said, sometimes he just told Mirka, let’s watch my match against Sampras, for fun. And he added, maybe some time later he would also watch this US Open final, also just for fun. Hahaha There’s laughters around. Someone asked, which is the best place in Shanghai you’ve been to this time. He said, he didn’t go to too many places, even didn’t go shopping much BS he said, man doesn’t like shopping normally, neither does him, but Mirka likes shopping very much. She is having fun, so he is having fun too. Hahaha Someone asked, you have spent much time with Mirka together, you are considered the perfect boyfriend by many, what do you think of it. He actually didn’t get the question too well and said, he just wants to live a normal life blah blah blah he doesn’t want room service hahahahaha my god hahahahaha

I just selected some important questions and the questions that he gave funny answers. He was interviewed for about 40 mins and was asked many questions. But I just couldn’t remember them all. And some of them were boring. And I could only understand English questions. Many were asking in Swiss German and French, then I couldn’t get a word. But it was so good feeling to see him switching from one language to another, without any problem. And it gave me another chance just to be watching him and watching him.At first, I was a little nervous. I was just listening to others asking questions. Later, I finally could stay calm enough to ask him questions myself. You know when Roger is listening to and answering questions, he often looks at the person who is asking the questions. So he looked at me for some while cuz I had several questions to ask him. What a nice exchange of words and eye contact!I asked him, what do you think of the clothes..he said, it was great I like it, and smiling, I said, you look just gorgeous. I just couldn’t help but tell him that I asked him he had such a good year last year and not many would believe you will have the same good year this year, but it turned out to be even better I think. So what is your goal next year, defending Wimbledon, stay at No1 or winning RG. He said generally he didn’t set goals for next year now. He will just get a good preparation for the next year, but he added, more or less, now his attention will be on RG, cuz that is the only GS that he doesn’t have. I asked, have you decided to play DC next year. He said immediately, no, not yet and smiling so cute. I even didn’t know why he smiled so cute at such a question. I asked, if he had the chance to play Nadal this time, how do you like your chance. He said very definitely, I’m the favorite. The indoor fast court suits me better. I asked the last question of all and was quite a good ending to the whole interview. I asked, Roger, you have so many fans here and are chased here so much just about everywhere, you are being so nice to all and everywhere and everytime, how can you stay nice all the time. He said, it’s nice to stay nice and I can be nice, so why not…and I further asked, most of your fans chasing you here are girls. So what do you think of Shanghai girls. He said, they are more emotional. It’s good to see different personalities. I said, unlike the Swiss girls? There were such a big laughters around. I added, Swiss girls may tend to be more indifferent. He said, everybody is different. I said, no, not different, but indifferent. He looked confused. Hahaha he didn’t know what is indifferent, so cute Some other journalist explain to him what is indifferent. Then he said, not really, he met with some Swiss girl fans who are really emotional. I said, lucky you. Hahaha Then the interview was over, with a very friendly laughters around ending. Then I came up to him again as he was leaving. I said, Roger, I’m becoming the official reporter of rogerfederer.com haha and all your fans miss you. He directly said, say hello to them. I said, thank you. He was smiling again so warm. Then he walked out. I walked out too to find my way out. But in some corridor, I found him standing there again chatting with some lady. He was actually waiting for TPL interview. I knew I should not at least now. But I simply couldn’t resist the temptation to take a pic with him again with him wearing this looking so damnly gorgeous. But this time he said very kindly, not now. I said yes it’s ok I knew I should’ve resisted the temptation anyway, but easier said than done… After some mins he was led into the room. Then I left. On the bus home, I was just looking through my pics again. How gorgeous he is! Omg PS, I was watching TV showing the opening ceremony just then. I should say, Roger in person was much much much more good looking than on tv. Anyone having the chance to look at him in person, make sure you just don’t miss it.And from tomorrow on, maybe my reports will not be as rich as the previous ones because there are only matches. I will anyway try my best.
