Nov. 11I went to the court again today. This time, I got in with such ease, with my pass I got yesterday. First I was looking for Roger’s driver to see if they were already there. I didn’t find him but his colleague told me he was there. I sighed with relief. And Roger was not on court yet. Perfect time again.Just a few minutes later, he appeared. Every time he appeared, there would be some stirring wave. Everyone seemed in action around. The good thing was, there were not many people there. Soon he picked up his racquet and began hitting balls with Davydenko. His driver said, last night, he had no event to attend, was only sitting there drinking coffee, didn’t go out for any fun and it was also raining. He said, with the matches approaching, he would go out less and less. Such a disciplined guy.He was out there in very good mood, showing smiles once in a while, which made me really happy. At one point, he hit a bad ball, and suddenly he called out loud, you idiot I went down from the seats up several floors behind the baseline where I watched him hit balls a bit. I intended to sit just where I sat yesterday, to watch him closely again. Suddenly I found his trainer Pavel Kovac sitting in one of the boxes. Immediately I decided to talk with him a bit. Actually it turned out we talked quite a lot.First I asked him how was Roger’s health condition now, which was the most important thing for me and for all his fans. Pavel said, it’s really getting better and better every day. I asked, is there any possibility that he would withdraw after just playing one match? He said, no, and added, hopefully. I said, all his fans don’t want him to push anything. I asked him to tell Roger not to play before fully recovered. Then I asked, what do you think of his first match? Nalbandian was a tough opponent, given Roger’s health condition now. Can you imagine what he said…no problem, Roger will win, and then he added, for sure. I was so happy to hear that from the mouth of his trainer, which indicated that he was really OK with his injury. And I thanked him for what he did to help Roger.Actually Pavel was surprised how could I know him. I said, how can I not! You are always sitting in his stands, along with a good friend of his, called sth like Reito. He said, yes, Reito, a very good friend of Roger’s, actually his best friend. I said, maybe you extend my regards to Reito also, cuz he seems always bring good luck to Roger He said his English was not so good. I asked him what language you use to communicate with Roger. He said, English. I laughed. He said, no it’s not a joke, and he laughed big too. I kept laughing, he added, no, it’s not a joke. I said, so next time when I get the chance to talk to you, better improve your English hahaha I said, Roger is a nice guy. He said yes, he is. I said, his tennis is really a piece of art, so special, so unique to watch, such a beauty and I wouldn’t like to watch anyone else’s after watching him play. He couldn’t agree any more. And he said, he is very good for tennis. He set a model for all the young players, cuz they all want to play like Roger. That would promote tennis as a sport. Then I said, I don’t know if Nadal was No1 in the world, who would watch tennis any more (sorry to Nadal fans). Then he laughed and said, he hopes not, even if he claimed No1, the problem is how long. He said, this RG semi final, Roger played just so so so bad, everything was not working for him and he didn’t know why. I said, yes, I watched most of Roger’s matches in 2003 till now, this was one of the worst. He said, yes, so bad. He kept saying, Roger’s game is natural, Nadal’s is physical, and he said he couldn’t believe in Nadal’s muscles. Then I said, pls tell Roger to kick Nadal’s ass. He laughed out so big, and said, I hope so too. hahaha
