Chris Daughtry has been silenced by a case of viral laryngitis, forcing the cancellation of a show in Tempe, Ariz.
CAPTIONBy Dan Steinberg/APDaughtry announced a 36-city arena tour today, but the good news was dampened when lead singer Chris Daughtry went on vocal rest, forcing the cancellation of a show tonight at The Marquee in Tempe, Ariz.
"I have viral laryngitis," Chris posted on Twitter today. "Doctor has ordered me to cancel tonights show ... for much needed vocal rest. We are working out details on how to make it up. I feel horrible. Thanks for understanding."
The arena tour launches Oct. 19 in Topeka, Kan., with Theory of a Deadman and Cavo opening. Tickets for the first round of shows go on sale Saturday. A full schedule of dates follows.
