Dear friends,
I did 注册 at Sina (2Xs), I have the confirmation email. Thanks for the screen print.  It looks the same from the computer I use at work (www.osu.edu) but different from the computer I use at home.  Go figure!  What is the difference between 登录 and 注册?  I don't know why my name is not showing anywhere on my post even after registration.  It's frustrating!  Lisa

注册就是注册一个membership,记住你的用户名和密码，这样你每次在子晨的博客post的时候就可以登录了，然后就没有字数限制了.

I am still not able to 注册.  I got stuck at the 个性域名.  I don't know what that is.  It is a required field.  What do I need to put in there?  Is there a generic name that I can use or do I need to create one for myself?  Here is what I copied from the register page:

That doesn't work either.  Here is what it requires - "个性域名 3到24个字符，可以是小写字母、数字， 不支持纯数字".  If I added "lisa" at the end (per your suggestion), it would become 28 letters.  In that case, I'd get an error message, I copied it here - "个性域名不能包含特殊字符".  Did you see this when you registered or am I the only "lucky" one?

The system should not make it so confusing. 个性域名 means "unique domain".  That makes it easier.   I think I need a book "IT Vocab in Chinese for Dummies" :)  Please disregard my previous post.  Lisa

我记得我以前注册时没有域名的啊.总之,这个昵称和域名其中一个就是你每次登录的用户名了.你别忘了就是.

I have registered successfully.  Here is another problem. I posted a testing comment but I couldn't see it.  Could you go to the blog to check it out? I also couldn't read ALL the posts that I used to be able to.  I could only read some (one page, for example, out of total 13 pages).  Any advice?

I'd tried several times.  I had to close the page after 6 minutes unsuccessful loading.  I hope it was just the system malfunction and will get better next time.  I was thinking about how to log out too.  I couldn't find the logout button.  Sina is not the smartest host when it comes to user friendly.

退出 is "Exit/Log out", right?  I found it.  Still can not view the multiple pages of comments, neither the new posting.  System takes forever to load.  Will check back later.

会不会你的系统有什么软件阻止了sina的一些功能？

或许过几天就好了.总之你多refresh就是.我记得我有段时间都无法在那里留言,后来自动就好了.
新浪的确很weird的说 :(

还有,Lisa,你家电脑是windows XP的吗?如果是,你把中文字库安装上,再试试看还有没那些问题?
